      Absolutely horrible and predatory. I had to tell them three times to cancel my subscription. It was basically like I had to beg for it. I also happened to be canceling on the same day a new order had been placed (auto renew), and they claimed they couldn't cancel the new order because the time window had passed. The order had not even been shipped yet. The order was placed on the 19th and was set to ship on the 25th. They told me my only options were to either refuse the package or pay to ship it back to them. Not being able to cancel an order the same day it's placed and making customers responsible for a package that hasn't even left their warehouse yet is extremely predatory and unethical.

      Criminal thieves. Stole money out of my account for products I didn't order or receive. Called and they insisted on lying to me. Had to cancel my card because these lying thieves told my bank I authorized purchases. I bet they are even posting false reviews here to increase their ratings because I've never met a customer they haven't stolen from. The police need to start arresting these scum and throwing them in prison to rot forever.

      Same experience as everyone else here, this product is billed and shipped in such a bizarre and apportioned way that a) it makes it seem as if it's a better deal than it is and b) that you'll only be billed for shipments you receive- which while technically true is done in such a way as to make it virtually impossible to cancel your subscription at a point in the billing process where you don't owe anything. Because there is never a time they are not preparing to process a shipment or processing charges. Because the charges are processed more frequently than the actual shipments are (ie they break each shipment into several payments that are not really small considering what they're sending and how frequently). It seems like a good deal because you think you're going to be receiving the product each time you're billed. But you are NOT going to receive the product each time you're billed. I cancelled my subscription at a time where I was certain we were not due any shipments for a long enough period that I wouldn't need to pay off any charges. Nonetheless I'm receiving the same attempts to threaten me into paying $49.95 for nothing at all. For half or a third of the quarterly skincare product I don't receive anymore? It's unacceptable to me that this many customers complain about the outrageous billing of this company and they still have an A rating. Companies with an A rating do NOT have multiple threads on reddit complaining about their sales tactics and they definitely do not have a BBB page filled with this many complaints. The fact that this company continually acts in such a hostile and unethical manner and retains an A rating makes me question the efficacy of the BBB as well at this point.

      Like many others, Proactiv sent me to collections for a balance of $24.95 that allegedly was incurred in 2022. I just received my first notice about a balance owed this month (2024). Not once did I receive a bill from proactiv saying I owed them anything, and Im certain that when I did have dealings with them, they made sure to take the money before they sent me anything. So theres no way I couldve owed them. Now Its in collections And affecting my credit adversely. When contacted, they gave me some order number that I cant Even look up. How is it possible that this can happen to so many people? Shady Company. Will not be doing business with them again and will tell everybody I know about what they did to me.

      Started a Proactiv subscription for my teenager in January 2022, which was linked with auto payment to my ****** account. In September 2022 (after monthly payments and sporadic, unreliable shipments) I canceled the subscription. My cancellation email stated I still owed $19.97 on my account. In October 2022 an auto payment of $9.99 was charged to ******, and in November 2022 an auto payment of $9.98 was charged to ******. Those two payments satisfied the $19.97 remaining balance.Two days ago more than TWO YEARS after cancellation I received a notice from a collection agency claiming I owe money to Alchemee / Proactiv a little over $38. I of course assumed it had to be a mistake. I paid off my $19.97 balance, and I have not heard from Proactiv since then. So I called customer service and they claimed that they got a new system which revealed that there were payments that had never been charged to customers, and that's what that amount is from. I have not heard a word from Proactiv since I canceled in 2022. I have not received an email. I have not received a paper bill. My ****** account (which was linked to my Proactiv account) has not been billed. I have heard NOTHING from them until I got this notice from a COLLECTION AGENCY. Upon questioning the *** on this, and them parroting the same response to each question, I asked to speak to their supervisor. Based on other responses I am seeing here, I am sure it will come as no surprise that the supervisor was "on another call" at the time and was going to call me back and I'm sure it will also come as no surprise that I never got a call ******* the absolute best this is horrific business practice. And at the worst this is outright FRAUD. I will be sure I tell every person I know to NEVER buy this product, and most definitely NEVER sign up for a subscription on their web site. This company is using scare tactics to STEAL people's money.

      I am at a loss for words I had used proactive for YEARS and years in the past and went on acutane and then my face was better so I didnt have a need for the product anymore. I remember trying to call and cancel my subscription sometime in 2021 but the person on the phone must have not actually canceled my subscription. My last order was supposedly in 2022. I NEVER received product in 2022. So Im very confused as to why your company is telling me I did. I was on the phone yesterday for an hour trying to deal with this. I was never notified that I owed anything and then I get a letter in the mail saying I owe money from years ago? What in the world. Im so ****** and disappointed in this company. I paid $270 of money I couldve used towards my baby on orders that I supposedly received that I NEVER DID. I wanted to fight it and was literally going back and forth on the phone with the customer representative for so long that I gave in to just paying the fee. Why would they keep sending me product if my card wasnt going through or if there was a payment issue? This makes truly no sense. I feel like this whole thing is a huge error and not right. I would like a refund.

      My account was linked to ****** and for some reason the payment didnt go through. We had extra product so I didnt notice we didnt receive a scheduled shipment, and was never notified of a problem. I logged into pause my subscription and there was a message I had been sent to collections. No one attempted to contact me. ******* customer service. Stay far away from this **********************.

      The billing department is so bad that I have sent my credit card information at least 8 times and tried to cancel my subscription. Now I just got a letter from a debt collector. I am beyond upset about this.

      Proactiv is a great example of a company that makes it necessary to have 'easy cancellation for subscription' laws. They make it unbelievably hard to cancel. No online option, only available during their business hours, you must talk to a customer service agent who will needlessly keep you on the line, pitching other plans again and again. What a terrible company. ******.

      Subscription was cancled, says so when signed into website, yet they continue to charge your account and send unwanted products. Please beware they are predatory *** dishonest
