1 starOn 7/29/24 Ontario Sealcoating came to the house to seal my driveway. As they started putting down the product, I noticed it had been watered down to almost no sealer in it. I spoke to the guy applying the product and he replied that this is what they use. I have a large driveway, and they only put down 2 1/5 five-gallon pails of product. The product was so watered that it was drying as they applied it. This crew did a terrible job applying this watered-down product leaving swirl marks and completely missing areas. I did not use the driveway during the 72-hour timeframe recommended by the Ontario Sealcoating crew. On 8/5/24, after a week of looking at the driveway mess, I contacted Ontario Sealcoating and spoke to a representative named Paul. I explained the situation and he replied they would be out to take of the problems on Saturday 8/10/24. No one showed up. After numerous calls to Ontario Sealcoating, I spoke to a person named Glenn. He stated that they would be out on Friday 8/16/24. The crew arrived. The crew leader looked at the driveway and stated that he saw nothing wrong with the driveway and blamed me for rinsing the dirt off the driveway removing the sealer and stated he would not do anything to address the issues. He stormed off stating for me to call the office which I did without a response. As of this writing,8/17/24 I have not heard from Ontario Sealcoating. In my opinion, Ontario Sealcoating Is stealing the public's money and would never recommend this business to anyone. The 1 /25-star rating is very appropriate for this business.Review fromLisa M W

1 starI received a flyer in my mailbox for Ontario Sealcoating's Gutter Cleaning service for $99. I contacted them to clean my gutters. On 11/06, I was alerted to their arrival by a loud bang outside in my driveway. The 2 men arrived in a pickup with a huge plow attached in front that was slammed into my brand new, just one-week old asphalt driveway. I asked the driver to please pick the plow up, then noticed that when the had truck pulled into my driveway, it had been low enough to dig up a trough along my front lawn next to the driveway from the street to where the plow was now resting. Neither of the men seemed too concerned, but one of the guys helped me (ME) replace the divets they'd dug up. I went back into my house to let them clean the gutters, and happened to look out the window in time to see them laughing. They arrived at 12:05 pm - loaded up their ladders and had left at 12:30 pm. An hour after they left, I let my dog out into my fully-fenced in yard, only to see they had left my gate across the driveway wide open. If I hadn't seen that, my dog could have easily gotten out and lost. I cannot believe this company is still in business, do not hire themReview fromGail F

1 starWe had Ontario Seal Coaters come to Seal cracks and Seal Driveway. They only sealed 2 cracks and the Driveway looks terrible and unacceptable. In fact it looks worse then before they touched it. There are swirls all over it and the finish is horrible. We are seniors and on a budget and paid 180.00 for this mess. We called and complained to give them a chance to correct the problem and were told they will come down in a few days. I will post later their reply if anyReview fromStephanie J

1 starPaid for sealcoating and crackfill. Demanded payment up front as I wouldn't be home the day of application. They did not do the crackfill. Have it on home video to prove no attention to cracks was nade. Have reached out to the owner 3 times with no response. Way to run a business jerk. Did submit a dispute on venmo.Review fromJohn C

1 starI was quoted a price of $159.00. When the workers arrived to seal my driveway they told my wife the price would be double, $318.00 due to the driveway only being sealed a few times. This sounded very shady to me so I did not have them seal my driveway. Not a very good business practice.Review fromJoseph M

1 star1 star 02/04/2023 Ontario SealCoating "filled cracks" and "sealed" my residential driveway on May 16 2023. When the finish coat dried it looked worst then before it was coated. There was a gray residue and it was just as porus as before it was sealed. I wouldn't be very surprised if it was watered down with something. The edges where concrete met the driveway, all the grass was not removed. i've had my driveway sealed for years and have never had a ******* job then what it looked like after they were done. I called the office telling them the crack was show through the top sealer. I expected it to show a little darker but this was rediculus. I was told that's what it always looks like. All for a special price of $161. Business owner could care less. Didn't even offer to come and look at it. I will definitely share my experence with everyone I know. I would leave less the 1 star but it wouldn't let me leave my comment without giving it 1 star. *** ****Review fromTom C

1 starOntario SealCoating "filled cracks" and "sealed" my residential driveway in October, 2022. When dry, the surface was covered with a powdery black residue that tracked into my garage and into my house. What a mess. Further, the cracks were only partially filled. I've had my driveway sealed and cracks filled many times by several other contractors, and done it myself. I know what it's supposed to be like when its done. I can't prove it, but I have the distinct impression that there wasn't enough tar in the mix. I have a suspicion why, but I'll leave it to the reader. I called three times over a couple weeks to speak with the owner. I was told he would call me back. HE NEVER CALLED. I'm out $181 and my driveway isn't sealed!Review fromA. Warren S

2 starsI have seen work done by Ontario Sealcoating driveway sealing and it looked adequate. My driveway is slightly (but not much) larger than most. When I received a flyer in my mailbox saying "Your sealing price is $99" that looked good to me so I decided to call them to schedule the work. But then I was told, on the phone, that "My price would be $114" so I asked why. The reply was that $99 is for a "standard" driveway and that online at their website it says so. I do not doubt this. However, the advertising flyer I received only two days earlier contained no such size conditions or qualifications whatsoever: just "Your price is $99." It seems misleading to me to advertise a price in writing and then refuse to honor it. I told the representative that and he said they would consider adding the limiting condition(s) to the ad flyer in the future. In the meantime, I wonder how many others will have been misled. I therefore declined to have this business do my work, and I do not recommend them (or any business) that operates this way.Review fromStephanie B

1 starThe crew was scheduled to arrive by noon on 7/14/2022. At 1:40 I called the office to see if they were coming. Got a recording and I left a message, stating " I am canceling the sealing of my driveway." About 20 minutes later, the owner I believed called and my husband talked to him. The owner stated there was a problem with the truck. My husband stated that my wife cancelled it. The proper thing for a company to do would be to call the customer and state they had a problem with the truck and they will be later or ask us if we would like to reschedule. I was going to have Ontario clean our gutter this spring. When I called them, the young man I talked to stated they didn't have enough people to do it. By fall they would have a crew. Well, all I could think of today was, maybe they didn't have enough people. We will not call them again.
