    I hired this company in September 2024 to replace a few rotten facia boards on my house. I paid half down($450) with balance due on completion. They came over in November and started the job, but two hours into the job they left and said the boss has to order the wood needed. Now I can’t get them to come back over to finish. They scheduled a few time but never show up. They won’t answer my calls or text. My hands are tied and my house has been partially tore apart for six months now. Can you PLEASE help me.

    Business: Country Living Construction (Angel)

    Initial quote: $16,000 for deck and fence. Revised charges: $13,680 (fence), $6,500 (deck). Paid: $17,680 total via checks (#*** - $8,340 on 06/25/24, #208 - $9,340 on 08/22/24, ~88% of total).

    Complaint: As of 03/19/2025, the project remains incomplete despite multiple assurances. We were misled into paying additional funds, promised expedited completion, and additional features, none of which materialized. Significant safety hazards exist (lack of railings and stairs), endangering our family, pets, and pregnant wife. Contractor equipment (saw) was left onsite unattended for several months. Additionally, due to repeated delays, we incurred unnecessary expenses from an extended dumpster rental, eventually removed by the rental company due to perceived abandonment by the contractor. Debris with exposed nails from the demolished deck remains scattered across our property, despite assurances from the contractor to properly remove it. Repeated attempts at communication resulted in vague, misleading responses and broken promises, showing a lack of professionalism and transparency. The contractor took advantage of our trust, creating undue stress and financial burden.

    Resolution: Immediate and complete finishing of deck and fence, including railings and stairs, or full reimbursement including payments, demolition expenses, dumpster rental, and debris removal costs.
