      Lousy customer service, who wants to wait 30-45 minutes on the the phone to talk to an agent. Worst customer service I have had to use!

      Davis Vision doesn't pay out because they make it impossible to submit a claim. Their app will give you errors and their website will make it seem like you submitted the claim but it sends no confirmation and when you call they have no record or your claim.

      The worst. I asked for a list of contact lenses that are covered under my benefit plan. They refused to provide me the list and told be to go to their website, or they could mail it to me. I asked for them to mail it. Three weeks later - no list.
      I called back, asked them again for the list. They again referred me to the website. I created an account. Checked the benefit web page. The web page says the list is unavailable - and, I should call their help line. I again asked for the information and they responded that they would not provide the info as **** ***** had restricted the access to the benefits.
      I have called **** ***** - they are equally puzzled. And have no such restriction on the information.
      Davis Vision is the WORST! All I'm trying to get is information about my benefits.

      Terrible. We have this vision insurance unfortunately… not for much longer after I cancel it. Davis vision is a piece of shit business and you cannot find a provider that will even give you the time of day waste of money, and time it should be reported to Better Business Bureau for their practices.

      Terrible customer service, inaccurate provider list on website. The participating provider list on the website is not current. I called the first two providers and scheduled an appointment but then was told that the provider does NOT take this insurance any more (they were discontinued by Davis VIsion). This is very frustrating. I called customer service and after great difficulty being able to talk to a person, I was told to go to the website and find a provider (which I had told them I already did). When I expressed my need to find a provider to do an eye exam, I was hung up on. I called back and when I explained my situation and need to find a provider, but that the list on the website is incorrect, I was put on hold (with no one ever coming to answer me), but the representative never explained anything. 
      I will not choose this vision insurance again.

      Davis Vision is unfortunately my company's vision care provider. Not once, but twice, my out-of-network claim was denied. Both times the Davis representative attempted to say that my out-of-network claim was not covered. This was patently false. I read to them from my Employee Benefits manual that I was covered by Davis for out-of-network claims.
      Upon having been caught in a lie, the representative then said the second of my claims for contact lenses reimbursement lacked sufficient detail. The receipt I had submitted was from 1-800-******** that included the patient's name (my daughter), the brand of contacts, the cost of the lenses, and even the prescription. Davis is a vision care insurer, and if they cannot read this receipt, they do not belong in this business. One must be drunk or on drugs not to see the detail.
      Davis Vision, it is my guess, falls into that class of providers who make it a business practice to reject large blocks of, otherwise, valid claims because they know that claimants often lack the time or expertise to pursue their claims. And, yes, Davis likely frustrates 80% of them and makes a good profit off of it.
      Not with me. I have resubmitted this claim and will raise this fraud on the part of Davis Vision with the Benefits group at my company. I will supply excruciating detail and do everything I can to get my company to switch to VSP, the provider at my previous company, who would have approved both my claims in a heartbeat.
      Go ahead, Davis, append your boilerplate response to this review, "We love our members, we do everything we can to provide them with the best service...", blah, blah, blah.
      Davis, I can afford the $130 for the claim you that you are wrongly denying me; can you afford to lose a corporate client with 3,000 employees?

      I called Davis Vision to find out the basic details of my plan because, until today, I thought CareFirst handled my vision plan. I was hung up on three times and was never given even basic information! I hope this scam is investigated by Congress. I'm going to contact the New York attorney general today.

      It’s been Since January that we submitted a reimbursement and still have not been paid per our Benefits.
      They denied a claim due a fraudulent claim submitted by provider and it is fixed and still do not have the reimbursement.
      Requested a Supervisor to call 10 times an no one has called back or looked up the matter. As far as I’m concerned they refuse to pay us per our benefits and everyone you speak to is very uneducated, the absolute worst customer service I have ever endured.

      Davis Vision is horrible!! Their Customer Service is a joke! They simply lie to you. I have called and emailed them 10 times just to get a copy of my EOB. It isn’t available online. They promise they will put it in the mail to me and that has been since November 03,2022. Still haven’t received it. Very disappointed in them. Would NOT recommend them to anyone!!!
