      I have NEVER been more disappointed in a business than Davis Vision. The customer service is an absolute drain on your time and energy. I have had to call 4 times and wait no less than 45mins per wait, just to talk for less than 5 mins and not get the proper information needed to purchase my glasses. It's unfortunate that having benefits through my employer leaves me without a choice in vision care. But if I was to own a business, I would NEVER use this benefit service. The customer review rating is absolutely correct and should by now lose another half of star. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! DO NOT USE THEM!

      This letter is in response to your recent inquiry, which was received by Davis Vision on 01/06/2023, regarding a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau. We appreciate your bringing this concern to our attention. Davis Vision strives to provide the highest level of customer service to our members and our providers, and we take all concerns seriously.
      As we understand your complaint, you expressed dissatisfaction with the hold time when calling the member services line.
      Our high call volume months are between December and January, which is when we received all three of your calls. We reviewed your calls and the challenges you had with the online provider you chose. As soon as we received their electronic update we were able to reinstate your eyeglass benefits on 01/06/2023. We strive to the be most trusted managed vision care company in the industry, and plan to continue our efforts to improve.

      My provider Account with Davis vision is #*****- Out of the many problems we have encountered with Davis and Superior Vision (VERSANT) the one i am addressing in this complaint is when a patient makes a change to the order after its already been placed and the changes end up being an upgrade then the order/claim gets cancelled and the benefits reinstated. Whenever this is done the payment is retracted and then paid out again at $0.00. The respone from the customer service department is to resubmit on the portal or by paper, or to call instamed that really just serves as a clearing house for EOB's not as a claims deparment. None of those methods ever result in payment so the only option is to send an appeal. My office currently has 10 appeals pending with appeals submission dates ranging back from 03/25/2022. We have been trying to contact the appeals department for an update for our oldest appeals atleast since 07/26/2022 by phone and have been met with a "no reps available try again later" message ever since then. I am requesting someone get back too me regarding this matter ASAP. As i already have 2 new issues to send appeals for and am not recieving nay updates what so ever.

Davis Vision has been working hard to mitigate appeal turnaround times and continues to monitor volumes on an hourly and daily basis, adjusting resources as necessary to ensure the needs of our providers are being met in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience while we work to ensure all of our providers are receiving the excellent level of service that they deserve.

      Davis Vision is trash!
      Today an agent named Debbie hung up on me when I asked her to escalate my claim after I grew tired of her telling me and the eyeglass store I use - to fax and mail documents that we faxed and emailed three times.
      I could not log into their system. We've been trying to have them make good on a claim since April. They are disgusting.
      People work hard to have benefits. Companies like Davis make you work just as hard to get what they committed to pay.

      Very poor service. I wonder if they deny claims hoping people will tire of calling them? Report them to the Better Business Bureau! I submitted a claim for an exam June 2022. In August, I was told the claim was denied in error, the check would go out mid August. Late August, I was told that the check was "hopefully in the mail." and the rep would call me in 2 days. No call. In September I was told 4 things in one call- The account had been closed in June! The claim had already been paid! The check would not be available til late September! and.....the check was in the process of being sent out! Which is it!?
      I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

      I just called right now. Some one used my benefits in Virginia and Davis Vision allowed it to happen. I live in TX and they said I would have to call back to see if has cleared up in 72 hours. This should be resolved immediately and how are they allowing others to obtain my information.

      Just talk on phone to Davis rep. Windy (sorry, if I spelled the name incorrect) their provider refused to help me with faulty glasses and advised me to resolve the issue directly with insurance company. Windy did help me but after talking to provider she read me a lecture about "difficult customers". With her 20-25 years of experience she considers that provider has a right not to serve "difficult customer". Does he? Who is the judges? Is there definition of "difficult customers". Are they the ones who asked inconvenient questions and expressed doubts about quality of service? Upsetting position for health insurance company
