      I used this company for a loan / refinance on my primary home to pull some money out of the equity to buy a vacation property. I was working with a realtor, and they were unable to give me a set closing date. They kept pushing back the date and requiring more information and more documents signed. The notary came to my house 3 times! It was hard for the realtor and the sellers if the property disincentive we had to change closing twice. I talked with 5 different people, and there seemed to be no communication. I had to keep telling and sending the same information over and over. It was impossible to be in the middle between them and the realtor/sellers. They were unprofessional, had poor communication, and were not able to get the job done in a timely manner. I asked for a breakdown of costs (because I was not going to pay for the extra notary trips) and so far they have not been able to produce that.

      On 3/29/2023 I was discussing with a representative (***** *************************) with Reliance the possibility of getting a mortgage. I was very clear that our conversation was a ************* and I did not want a hard inquiry to hit my credit report. The representative agreed that a hard hit would not occur. The following day I get notification of a hard hit to my credit report. I contacted the company requesting the removal of the hard inquiry. The representative sent me a letter of apology for the miscommunication, and that he would have the matter resolved. We are 9 months past that attempt and several others and the hit is still on my account and the matter not resolved. Their deception and failure to resolve the matter as they stated has adversely impacted my credit score, which I was clear I didn't want, and they clearly understood.

      The customer is correct in that we spoke with him in April of this year regarding his concerns and we offered to address the issue.  When we spoke with the customer, we advised him that we would be emailing him as we needed a document to resolve the matter.  The customer never responded to our email.  We have emailed the customer again asking for the document.  Once we receive the document, we have this matter addressed.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      *********************** initially stated to give him more time to see what they could do to rectify their error which cost us $1920.00 in additional interest charges from our creditors.  Days go by and he then states that he wants updated statements from each creditor.  I informed him that each day that goes by adds more interest to the outstanding interest and that we should pay it out of our own pocket.  This statement from him made us realize that he was just stringing us along and had no interest in getting this matter resolved.  We informed him that we would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which we did, as well as possibly pursuing legal action against them for Errors and Omissions as our attorney suggested.  **************** could have easily had a 3-way call with us and our creditor if he truly wanted to resolve this error that his company created, but it clear that he had no intention of doing so.  If **************** wants to resolve this matter, then he needs his company to pay the $1920.00 in additional interest charges which we have now paid-up front, as a result of the error made by his underwriters!

We agreed to his request, but then days go by and he told us that we would need to provide him with current statements from all the creditors that charged us additional interest due to not receiving the payoff amount in time. We told ***** that each day that goes by the interest charges would continue to increase. He said that we should have paid the additional interest charges before the 30-day payoff quote expired. We told him that if we would have received OUR funds before the 30-day off quotes expired we would have paid it, but the check was dated 5 days after the payoff quotes expired. We told him that we would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and filing a lawsuit against them for the error made by their company causing us to incur an additional $1920.99 in premium. Here we were hoping that this company would help us by getting us a loan consolidating all our bills, now thanks to them, we have another bill!! AVOID ,AVOID, THIS COMPANY!

      Reliance Firsr Capital continues to deny the fact that their error cost us over 1 thousand dollars in additional fees.  We have now hired an attorney in **** to represent us in our case against them and encourage others who have dealt with them and incurred additional expenses due to their negligence to hire an attorney also.  Our attorney will be filing an errors and ommissions claim as well as any an all legal costs to be paid by this company.  Avoid them at all costs and make sure you read all their reviews and claims they have had against them.

      I received a call 08/23/2023. I ignored the call due to me walking in court. My phone continued to vibrate as after I declined the call with the same number ************. I answered the phone annoyed and requested that they stop calling me. I've been doing business for a long time with different companies and this is by far the worst experience. The lady on the other end continues to yell HOLD ON/ HOLD UP while I'm disconnecting the call. She then attempts to call me back an additional 3x. At this point I'm highly irritated. For one, this is a professional company. If someone doesn't want to speak then you can A. leave a voicemail or B. send an email. I pick up the phone and tell her I'm in court and to stop calling me. I also added if this company couldn't handle simple instructions why would I let them handle a refinance on my home? After that, I blocked the number so no more calls would be received. OO no.. she didn't stop there. She proceeded to text me. (attachment below) Now, I understand that I could have refrained from using profanity, but how would you feel if you tell someone to stop calling you and they text you telling you how you should've handled the situation. I will be speaking with a lawyer.

      Our ******************** is aware of the issue, namely full year taxes were paid instead of semi-annual.  The issue is being addressed including a refund for the customer.  The customer's escrow will be re-analyzed once the matter is resolved and the monthly payment will be adjusted accordingly.

      Reliance has agreed verbally to send ** in writing, an updated current escrow analysis for the year of 2023, specifically stating the total correct amount of our escrow account, including the exact amount of our overage (which they will refund eventually).  Reliance also verbally agreed to send ** a corrected updated mortgage statement showing our payments of $1,309.60 and $1,216.53 (which Reliance) applied to our mortgage balance.  Once we receive the above in writing, (this informatyion has been requested for months, to no avail) then, at that time, this issue will be resolved.  Until then, this issue remains unresolved.  Thank you.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      Our Issue/concern remains unresolved regarding our monthly mortgage payments increasing to $1,875.81 for the months of March and April which we cannot justify when errors were made regarding the homeowners policy on the subject property.

      However, again, we reiterate the following to Reliance First Capital, LLC (or whoever) to review the correspondence as referenced below:

      1. ******* correspondence to Reliance dated March 14, 2023;
      2. Reliance Correspondence to ******* dated April 3, 2023 (****************)
      3. ******* correspondence to Reliance dated April 19, 2023;
      4. ******* correspondence to Reliance dated April 28, 2023; and,
      5. Reliance correspondence to ******* dated May 24, 2023 (******************)

      Contradiction to say the least, it is evident the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. 
      Our monthly payments should have no way increased, and we were never notified of such, (especially since our insurance premium decreased drastically), when there was ample funds to cover the new insurance premium which was due to Northlight on 3/2/2023, but was not issued in a timely fashion.  

      We are still waiting on Reliance to provide a current mortgage statement indicating the correct amount of our current escrow as well as Reliance applying our payments of $1,309.60 (which were submitted) to our mortgage balance and not in a suspense account.  Again, we do not understand how we have repeatedly requested this information for months, but to date cannot get this information in writing and the correspondence we have received from Reliance as noted above, both of which contradict each other.  Confusion still remains.  Some issues and concerns have been resolved.
