    If I could rate on my apartment, it would be a 4 (low-end finishes for a big rent fee). The location is ideal for me, but unfortunately, the Management give lip-service and nothing else! This is a new build in ******** *** that took forever to complete. I moved in 2 weeks ago and have a punch list of problems that started with a leaky toilet and may end with me having to buy my own shower head! These apartments are not cheap. The shelf over the washer dryer is hanging off the wall since they didn't hang it into the sheet rock with molly bolt anchors. I'm waiting to see what happens with the guest and bedroom shelves. After they replaced the leaking toilet, they left the caulk from the previous toilet on the floor (it looks like a crime scene chalk line around the toilet)! They replaced a too powerful shower head with one that dribbles. They told me if I wanted to have a better shower head to go to **** ***** and buy my own! If it wasn't so wrong, it could be funny! Most of the doors between rooms don't stay open, need adjustments. Currently the kick plate for the dishwasher is IN the dishwasher, so I'm doing dishes in the tiny camper sinks they installed. I'm fairly certain the manager and activities person won't last. They look frazzled and we're only two weeks in. A new apartment complex is being built a block away, my name is going on the list.....Calamar is irresponsible and only gives lip-service. Beware!

    My mother lives in Connect55 in ********** ****. I was visiting recently, it snowed for a couple of days while I was there and never got above 25 degrees... this complex serves seniors, but not once in the four days that I was there did anyone put down salt to keep the sidewalks and parking lot safe. There was ice on the sidewalks and parking lots, it was very unsafe and disgraceful! I also noticed how dirty the entries and hallways were, my mother shared that they don't have any regular cleaning.
    On the website it states: "At Connect 55+ communities, seniors live worry-free with the luxuries of full-time maintenance, dedicated staff, and abundant amenities." This is not true. Things do not get fixed, the facilities are not well maintained, and there is not such thing as "abundant amenities". Rugs are nasty, doors are rusty, siding is falling off... it does not match the description on the website at all.
    A woman who manages the Wheatfield West complex next to my mother's recently has "assisted" with my mother's building (****). My mother and her friends have told me how nasty this woman is to residents, she needs some customer service training. There is never an excuse for treating residents in a negative way.

    I lived at Connect 55+ in Londonderry, NH from 12/2021 until 6/2022. The management was not good. Calamar was unable to keep managers, activity directors, and maintenance at the Londonderry location. Also, I knew of several instances where neighbors needed major repairs that were not taken care of. These included leaks in the ceilings and broken tubs and showers. Many of the apartments, including mine, had poorly installed carpeting that had large ripples. These were a hazard especially in a 55+ community where some residents have mobility issues. I was scheduled to get my carpets fixed, but the company did not show up. When I called the company, they said they would not do any more work there unless paid by the residents because Calamar did not pay them for previous work completed. I did get the work done and paid them, but were unable to get any reimbursement. There were also managers from other Connect 55+ facilities in the area that worked in Londonderry sporadically. One of them was extremely rude to me and several other residents. I moved as I did not want this kind of stress in my retirement years.
