Thursday 10-10-2024. My car had a leak in the power steering line and my mechanic was booked. I got an appointment the next day at DHC Honda of Nanuet.I was told up front that a "diagnostic fee" of $180 would be charged to look at it and the fee to be waived when the work was completed. I told them I could show them where the leaks were and what parts to replace. It's a common repair on older cars. Any mechanic can do it and many home mechanics. They weren't sure if they had the parts or technician on hand and suggested I leave the vehicle. I choose to wait and see. Several hours later they called me in, gave me a four page print out. They told me the price would be about $6500 for the steering parts, labor and tax. Also over $7000 more for some other things needed. The total around $14,000, but I could think about the other things and just concentrate on the steering fluid leak for now. I left the Dealership sick to my ********** 2007 Honda CRV is well cared for and I know all of what will eventually need replacing. The following Monday I got it to my mechanic. He replaced the parts the same day for $368. What *** did may have been legal but it was also the most unscrupulous thing I've ever experienced from a dealership. Dishonest and ********* I tell this story to other older Honda owners they all say NO! don't ever go ********* can I warn others about this practice?I just needed a bandaid for a cut. They gave me an autopsy and issued a death certificate. And then charged me $195 on top of ****** insulting.***** P

Finance Manager *****************, and Sales Manager ************************* are some of the worst individuals we've encountered in quite some time. Not only are they rude, disrespectful, liers, and some of the most condescending individuals we've ever met but they will flat out lie to you and do not care about you or wasting your time and money. They basically pressured and wasted our time with their lies from saying they know the laws, they are employees of the *** DMV and that they wouldn't even process the paperwork for our purchase unless I cosigned for my wife even though her credit is 833 and she has a great job. This was totally sexist. She does NOT need a mans approval to buy a vehicle and they do not have the right or the place to tell customers what to do.Asked to speak to the ** in charge of the dealership over them and they refused and then proceeded to lie and said he was the **.There was a lot more to it than just this but hard to put into words about their tone and attitude and more!

We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your wife on a vehicle purchase, and it is unfortunate that things did not work out to your liking. It is understandable that you are frustrated, but we feel as though this feedback is unwarranted and misleading. After submitting multiple requests to our dealership for more information about vehicles using several different aliases, you and your spouse arrived at our showroom with a deal that appeared to meet your needs. The ensuing process with your salesperson was mostly seamless. Things continued as such until your request to our finance team that plates currently issued to a vehicle registered to both you and your wife be transferred to the one that was currently being purchased in your spouses name only. Upon being informed this was not possible due to New ********** Vehicle regulations, you became visibly frustrated and asked to speak with our general manager, who was out of office the day of your visit. Our sales manager, who was team lead at the time and more than capable of answering your inquiries, suggested that the fastest viable solution to keeping your same tags would be to have you both sign for the purchase, as you had with the previous vehicle. Under no circumstance was the solution in the context of a sexist remark, nor did it suggest your spouse would not be able to purchase the vehicle solely in her name only that the plates would not be transferrable if this was the chosen route. We have investigated this matter further since the time of your visit and can again confirm our team was correct in accordance with New ********** Vehicle rules. Our General Sales Manager, *********************, has since reached out to you to discuss this matter directly, and to offer an apology for your frustration and any inconveniences you and your wife were caused. Additionally, he offered to work with you to find a way to satisfy your request that was within the limits of the law, which you refused. Again, we do appreciate the opportunity to gain your business and regret that in the end we could not reach a satisfiable agreement and arrangement for the tag transfer. We wish you and your wife the best with your vehicle search moving forward.

I have not conducted any business with this company for years due to their poor service and terrible communication. I have also had issues that are still on going with them contacting me for other peoples cars despite repeated requests to them and their parent company to permanently remove my contact information from their system. Despite this I still receive unwarranted text messages

We Apologize for that; we have removed you and your email address from our database 5 years ago. We did identify that your cell number was tied to another account with the same last name if related or not related it has been deleted from the texting system. This should solve your concern in about 48 hours after the system updated.Thank you,

I am writing a formal customer review against ********************** (**) My vehicle was dropped off for serviced on 4/10/24 at **************** in ********, until 4/26/24. My original cause for a service Appt was due to the paint on my car peeling a caliper issue & burning engine oil. Between the dates of service 4/10/24 to 4/26/24. I was contacted by the service **** to inform me that there was engine failure and pump issue which were replaced and or fixed under Warranty. The night of 4/10/24 when I was out with my family I heard the start of clicking noises. On 5/07/24 I serviced my vehicle again at ******** ******* were all systems were troubleshooted. I was advised that the battery needed to be replaced and the quote was for $342.00 so I denied the replacement. Two days later I took the battery to Autozone and all the tests came back passed. I repeated the same test at ***** in ********** where my vehicle was carefully inspected and was advised that the battery passed but that the alternator needed to be replaced and was quoted for nearly $800.00. This replacement is not covered under Warranty. Prior to my service visit. I went to speak with **** in Finance at Honda to explain my maintenance issues. Thereafter, he had a sales agent show me a car he later communicated to me that the car was appraised for $8,000.00. He told me that ******* cars hold no value.I also communicated to **** that there was a burning smell coming from the car. I spoke to another salesman which I reiterated my situation too and he laughed and basically told me that it was my fault due to the high mileage which I told him that it wasnt a laughing matter. I emailed the ** Manager *********************** notifying him that I have a complaint. Hes out sick and redirected me via email to a sales person.

When we received your email, that was the first time we knew you had a concern. Unfortunately, I was out sick, and I had my Sales Manager contact you to find out what was going on. As we had no records of previous repairs done to your car and since your purchase it over a year ago and ****** Additional miles were driven.******** did reach out to you and listen to your concerns and other repairs that were done at another dealership. We agreed to provide you with a loaner car so we can look into your concerns at no cost to you. We did go over the vehicle we did find that ******* did install a new engine and the burning smell is coming from all of the new components that are breaking in. We also ran a battery test and alternator test which both passed and currently working fine. As far as trading you out of the car, we will do our best to try to find another car that works for you.Thank you,

I have been trying to communicate with two employees regarding a $3000 refund I am due from a cancellation of a service plan I cancelled back in August 2023. All of my telephone / in person attempts with ********************* and ***************************** have failed. They simply do not any return any of my contacts. I feel as if my money is being held hostage.

We do apologize for the wait time for the refund of the canceled warranty. Your reference # SSC1949636 has been processed but it could take up to 8 weeks to complete. We did reach out to the third-party company to expedite this request. We were told you should have the refund check by next week.
