We entered a contract with Au Pair USA by interexchange in December 2023. We wanted to match with one of their Au Pairs who had contacted us through ********* We paid The Au Pair came to our house at the beginning of February 2024, 8 days later she was taken out of our house, with no explanation whatsoever and they said we were not fit to be on the program, were expelled and they would only refund us a fraction of the money because it was our fault. Additionally they charged us 50$/night for 2 weeks for room and board after the Au Pair had left.We had continually been asking for a full refund because we didn't do anything wrong. We found the Au Pair on ******** saying she was moving to ********* with her long term boyfriend (who we never had heard of before). We reported the Au Pair to ICIS and let the agency know about the posts the next day, pointing out again that there is a high chance we were used for immigration purposes. The following day of us letting the ************** know her profile and all posts were deleted from ********* This points to the agency letting the Au Pair know, thereby potentially hindering ICIS' investigation. Even more, it almost feels like they might be working with Au Pairs to help them illegally immigrate.

We hired *************************** via Au Pair USA. The au pair caused troubles that we reported to the agency, but we believe that the local coordinator never reported them, because she's close to the au pair. Here are some: 1-On 11/19/2022, our daughter, who is 3, reported that the au pair kicked and hit her. We contacted Au Pair USA the next day via the local coordinator, ******************** 2- I witnessed myself the au pair being extremely rough with our kids. She dropped my child on the hardwood floor. When I spoke with the au pair immediately after, she denied and subsequently apologized after I told her that I saw what she did. 3-On 9/5/2022, *************************** ********* damaged our house (see pictures). This incident was reported to the Au Pair USA via *******************. The repair is $16149 and this does not include the hardwood floor. The au pair had a complete disregard for our property and our children. Each of these incidents was reported, but the agency, Au Pair USA, never took action. Instead, when we talked on 11/21, they made it look like our son (5 years old) was the problem, because he throws a tantrum. My son may have a speech problem. According to them, that made the au pair unhappy. Therefore, the agency, with the help of the local coordinator, removed us from the program without notice. The Au Pair USAs director of fields, *****************************, and the local coordinator sent me messages requesting a payment of $227.84 to the au pair, but never said one word about the incidents. The local coordinator, *******************, would have acted differently if my 3 years old child had not been African American. The Au Pair USAs business practices are callous and unacceptable. They breached the contract after 6 months without a notice. The local coordinator, *******************, conspired against us to remove the au pair and conceal their misconduct. The au pair got easily irritated, complained a lot and refused to change my youngest child when there was a need for a pullup change.
