They can't manage to keep the movies they already have in working condition but they'll add a movie like flash and give more money to a legitimate *********. Way to go, Max, way to show customers you really care

I received Hbo/Hbo Max/Max from my cell phone provider as bonus after I purchased new phones. I went through the cellular phone service and signed in to Hbo and started my subscription and I thought I was done with it UNTIL I started getting a monthly bill for *****. Ive tried everything for 2 years to cancel this subscription and service and I cant even find it on their website!! Went to **** and they confirmed that HBO is the worst company to cancel subscription for!! I want my money back now and I want everyone to know what horrible company they are to deal with and how predatory they are!!!

I received an email that said there was an error in transferring my account from ********************** to *** and my sub would end in June 2023, instead of the paid in full, add free service till Nov 2023.Multiple online sources stated: The plan was that HBO Max subscribers would be able to log in with their existing username and password and have all their preferences migrated over to the new ***. Second source: ******** still be free for HBO subscribers? Users should still be able to access the service using their existing passwords and logins on their devices. You won't pay any more for *** than you did for HBO Max, at least until November 2023.So if it is not true that ALL subscribers who paid for the full service, add free account to ********************** have had their accounts canceled. Then there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON my account should be canceled. I was told I would have to wait 3 business days for this to be maybe fixed. I should not have had to spend a second on this. I paid for the service. The migration should have been reviewed before attempted to ensure paying customers were not told their paid in full account would be canceled due to an error.

HBO Max is an unethical and untrustworthy enterprise. I bought an annual subscription and after around 6 or 7 months determined that there was not enough value for the service to justify the price. I then attempted to cancel my service. I was told that they would not refund the remaining period of service on the annual subscription, but that my account would deactivate at the end of the current cycle. As I never used the service after that point, I never thought about it again. Then, over a year after the original date of purchase of the annual subscription, I saw a charge on my credit card bill for the service for another year. I had had that card number changed twice between the original order for HBO and the renewal charge. They were billing the old number. I contacted HBO and asked why I was being billed. They stated that my account auto billed every. I told them the date I had previously called and cancelled the service. The rep said there was no record of that. She cancelled my service, but said she couldn't refund me because HBO's system was showing that my credit card company had declined the charge. The charge, however, showed on my card bill. I disputed the charge with them. It was initially approved, however, HBO then challenged my dispute and my card company then reversed the charges back to me again. I disputed it again and it was denied.I called HBO for a refund and they told me that my account was active again, somehow, and that they could not refund me because I had disputed it with my card company. Complete unethical B.S. I have cancelled the card company and will never do any business with any HBO affiliated company again.
