    My employer recently switched to Capital Rx from a different prescription management company. Prescription medications that my husband and I have been taking, that were approved by the previous prescription management company, are now being denied by Capital Rx. When our doctor sends prescriptions in for renewal and refills, the pharmacy calls and tells us the refills were denied by Capital Rx. Our doctor is having to write appeals, and in the interim, we wait to find out if needed prescriptions will be filled. Some of the denials seem nonsensical, because in one case a prescription for the same medication/same dosage was approved for my husband but denied for me. In addition to this, my husband was recently denied the prescription preparation kit necessary for a colonoscopy. My husband was referred to a gastroenterologist after a suspicious mass was discovered during an MRI. The gastroenterologist ordered a colonoscopy, along with the preparation medications needed prior to the procedure. Capital Rx has not approved the preparatory medications that are required for the colonoscopy! The gastroenterologist's office had to give my husband a sample kit with the necessary medication so that he can have the necessary colonoscopy.

    This company has denied reasonable coverage for my medications repeatedly. Im not able to pay hundreds of dollars in copays. Id be better off to not work and receive ********. I honestly believe theyd rather people die than pay for medications. People who work for a living shouldnt have to suffer like this.

    Capital Rx is one of the best prescription drug programs that I've ever had. My company changed to them last year. I have a chronic condition that requires a lot of prescriptions. Any time I have to call Capital Rx, they are very responsive and provide great service.

    Denying my lidocaine pain patches I have been using for years, but have no issues approving synthetic pain meds or physcotic meds for pain without questioning. I have had nothing but issues with this company from day 1. I don't want to take these drugs they approve that have long lasting effects on the brain such as gabapentin or baclofen. I don't recommend this company to anyone especially for those who care about what drugs they are being prescribed!

    Capital RX makes it's profits by denying maintenance medication prescriptions until people just give up. There is a reason they are not BBB rated. Resubmitting prescription denial paperwork for a third time. I guess if the patients become too sick to participate in their run around Capital RX spends less money on prescriptions. Great business model.
