For Allure Beauty Box: This is the worst company I have ever encountered. They informed me via writing that a gift card I received would be used for my quarterly box and then proceeded to charge the full amount to my credit card without asking. When I called to ask about this, they told me all sales are final and refused to give me my money back. Overall, the customer service is terrible, they charge you without asking and they lie and don't own up to it even though I have proof in writing.

This company total crap. The magazines are sub-par and when trying numerous times to cancel i ended up multiple times on a VM where no one calls back. Of course i got charged! for another year.
And where i think they are breaking the law - they say you can manage you cancellation online but when you get online to their crappy website in super tiny at the bottom of the page you see this
To manage your subscription, please contact Customer Care.
They should be flagged and reviewed - i dont know how this allowed. Stay away from this company or find yourself endlessly on phone calls tyring to just simply cancel

I called **** at Condenast publications about my subscriptions to GQ for $15 and my subscription to Vanity Fair for $18. i was informed that there is a no refund policy and they aren't able to issue me a refund even though I cancelled within the 5 day period. I don't know how companies get away with that.

I bought a subscription to Conde/Nast, Vogue for my granddaughter last December 24th. I was getting both digital and hard copy, monthly prescriptions. I got an email yesterday 10/30/24 that they were automatically going to charge my credit card $71.99. I called their telephone number and spent *****" talking with 3 different people. They told me they couldn't find the subscription for my name, my grand daughter's name, couldn't find the credit card I used or my email account, despite getting 3 emails from them daily. But they still think they will charge me and UNABLE TO CANCEL THIS *********** ridiculous!! I absolutely will never look at this again. I have gotten satisfaction from my credit card company and they won't put through any further charges. I am so disappointed on sloppy, crooked practices from this company. *****

Well, I decided to leave a decent innocuous comment onto *** ********** blog, which is owned by Condé Nast Publications, Inc. my comment was simply in response to the recent ********** story. I made a good point about how rather than allowing corporate to intimidate them to stop using *****, they could simply hire a Third party insurance agent. For this "Crime" I was downvoted into oblivion. All I could think was wow, what an awful karma system. I mean, after all, those systems are more about not communicating than communicating. I am disliked there, but I have no idea why my comment was disliked, so if I wanted to try to leave better comments in the future, I can gleam literally no insight from this experience. As a result, I will complain to every organization under the sun about them.

Subscribed to Bon Appetit because I like their recipes and during sign up, the site said you can cancel easily by logging in and selecting Manage your subscription. Thats a lie. I changed my mind (mostly because of how difficult it was to log in) and went to Manage Your Subscription and then clicked on Cancel. It asked me why I wanted to cancel. Regardless of which reason I chose, when I continued, it brought me to a screen to pause my subscription instead. I tried it a few times, with different browsers. I ended up having to call and wait on hold for several minutes and then it took about 10 minutes for the representative to cancel (he tried persuading me to change my mind and then he had to put me on hold to request an override). At least they promptly sent an email confirming cancellation so I dont have to wonder.

I subscribed to National Geographic and Conde Nast, through Advance Publications took advantage of my ****** account and charged me for ****** **** ($49CAD). They say that I had an Automatic Renewal. I have asked SEVERAL times that they cancel my subscription and refund my money. They say they CANT - Company policy!! What kind of company cant cancel a year-long subscription and refund at least some of the money. I lodged a ****** complaint but it was denied and I asked for my money back right away, but they say its impossible. I call - **!!

Subscribed to Bon appetit and have never received a single issue. Send their customer support an email about it and they only replied with a confirmation of cancellation and refused to help with the missing issues.

I signed up for a digital subscription to Vanity Fair. They charged my credit card. I was never able to access the articles -- it kept sending me to a page to request a new password. So I called to cancel my subscription -- no one who answered the phone could help although the found me in their system, asked me for my zip code, email address and home address. Then they transferred me to a number they said would help cancel the digital subscription -- it was a number to block my number from call again. I tried calling from an office phone and they did it again. ************.
