For the last three months, I have been receiving harassing marketing emails from DotDash ******** ********, in the name of "All Recipes the Scoop". I have sent emails to this company and have talked to a representative of this company at least three times weekly. On each phone call, I receive assurance that my email would be removed from their data base, but the emails continue daily. I have never subscribed to emails from the company. In fact, I never subscribe to promotional emails. It looks like this company is a foreign entity because the powers that be, at this company, have no respect for the privacy of Americans.Business Response

I received the following email stating that my auto pay subscription will renew soon. I sent an email stating I did not wish to renew. The date for the reply to this email says "before 9/24/23." When I tried to email them back I had forgotten my password, so I hit the "forgot password" button and entered my email address. I was then told that the reset would be sent to my email. It never was sent. I have done this multiple times and have tried contacting magazines.com personally. I want the subscription cancellation, in writing, in an email to prove it was done. Please help me with this matter. I can't remember what the amount was.Customer Answer

Magazines.com keeps sending me emails soliciting my business. I did not give them permission to do so and they will not stop in spite of several requests to do so. They claim that it takes up to 30 days to stop emails. They are harassing me and I am tired of it. I told them that I was going to file a complaint, yet they continue to send emails. PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP!Business Response

I contacted this company in April 2022 prior to the renewal date of October 2022 that displayed on my account to cancel the subscription of Women's Health magazine. I was unable to do so through self-service online, therefore I had to reach out to customer service, and case ******* was opened and resolved confirming the cancellation. As of March 2023 I was still receiving the subscription, which should have been cancelled. The business reply under case ******** in part was "Although you requested we cancel your subscription, your account is paid in full for future copies. Service will continue until your expiration date of May 2023." In June I received the July/August issue, which according to the representative's communication is past what was promised. I contacted them again to ask them to please stop sending the magazine and please confirm that I have not been charged again for another renewal (I don't know what the original payment method was provided years ago). The response from the business on June 26, 2023, was: "This is to confirm that your request to discontinue automatic renewal service has been processed on November 13, 2022, and your account will be switched to our "traditional" renewal process. Your subscription expired May 2023 issue; therefore, you received the full term of your subscription and no refund is due." I did not ask to be switched to a different renewal process, I asked to completely cancel the magazine, which I was unable to do so myself through the customer portal due to continued error messages in the process of trying to cancel. The rep's reply also did not address why I am still receiving issues when these should have ended in May 2023. I replied back on 6/26 asking for further clarification and the rep has stopped responding.Business Response

I ordered and paid for a year subscription of Southern Living Magazine over the last two years. I had decided not to renew this magazine so I had not responded to any correspondence sent to me. I have begun to get past due invoices from them so I called ************** and talked with a representative. He told me that I had elected automatic renewal which I never did. I have never elected automatic renewal for any magazines I have ever ordered. I believe Southern Living Magazine committed a fraudulent act by choosing that election for me. I do not want anything to do with their magazine at this point. They are treating me as if I defaulted on a payment, which I never have. I believe what they are doing to their customers is fraudulent and could also be illegal as they are trying to force and bully me into buying a product I do not want. I would like them to cancel any future Southern Living issues for me and clear any outstanding balance due. I believe that other customers should know about their illegal tactics to try and force a sale.Business Response

I have been receiving copies of *********** Magazine that I never signed up for. I have been receiving them for years. I have tried calling the company and tried canceling online. When I try to cancel online, I see that I am subscribed to *********** and there is "no payment due," however my credit card is charged $3.71 each month. When I try to cancel the subscription online, I see a message that says "Since your order was placed through an agency, it will be necessary for you to contact them. Our agreement with all agencies is that any such actions must be taken only with their approval." I don't know what agency placed this order and I have no way to contact them. I don't want to pay for a magazine I don't want and never subscribed to. I want to be able to cancel my (unwanted) subscription on their website.Business Response

From other reviews its clear this company does this invoice scam on the elderly. I want to be removed from their mailing list and also not have my address resold to other mailing lists.Business Response

We received a payment in the amount of $20.00 on April 12, 2023 for a 1 year 4 issue subscription to ***************** This subscription expires with the Summer **** issue. There was also an unpaid order on the account that we have cancelled. This customer may disregard any crossing bills. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding.
