      I have nothing but positive things to say about their customer service and their devices I have used, which is the motion sensors. They are affordable and easy and the app is intuitive. A few years ago I had trouble with one I had for a couple years no longer connecting to WiFi. I emailed Kangaroo for advice, and they quickly replied, like that evening, and asked for my information so they could mail me a free replacement. When that arrived, they walked me through the steps to connect the new device to my profile. I always think about this when hearing about bad customer service, and how we generally only review things when we have negative experiences, so I decided to relay my positive Kangaroo experience. I found their help to be extra-ordinary! I have referred many people who need to protect something or be alerted to motion. I also like that their motion sensor is portable, as I use it in my medication lockbox. It has absolutely changed my life.

      I have had the system since 2019. I bought it online and it has worked great. The photo doorbell battery does need to be changed within 6-7 months, i thought it would last longer. But the video camera and the leak puck is solid. Runs well and i like the activity feed. Called customer service once when i needed help with setup. They called me back within a day. They also ended up helping me get an insurance discount, which was surprising and awesome!

      I Ordered the Kangaroo doorbell camera, First they overcharged me twice for the security plan. After I called them they did issue me a refund. It will take a few days to show on my bank account. After set up, I could not receive any stitches, just a black box, then image could not be uploaded. I called again and the lady said she would upgrade firmware. And to reset it after 30 minutes. Still did not work. Called again and the man sent me receipts of the banking refunds, I will wait to see if this is actually refunded.He said there was no record of the firmware upgrade, so he would do this and told me to wait about an hour and check the firmware to see if it went from **** to ****, I waited 3 hours plus, no firmware update. Went to the Kangaroo site and it stated the firmware should be ****. They are selling outdated merchandise that does not work. They sell the doorbell and chime for $39.99 on the Kangaroo site which included the $23.88 plan for a year. What good does it do if it does not work. Then they push trying to get your home insurance company name to get a discount for having hone security.

      I had a friend order the Kangaroo security system for her *********** husband did not want to change from the system they were using. She then gave me the system and I was going to set it up but now that I have read the reviews here on the BBB and elsewhere, I am concerned about the hassle that I might entail if I sign up for their service. I will continue to research other security systems out there. Thank you, BBB, for being there for ** customers looking for a good deal.
