FaceMyDoc is a telehealth medical company based out of ********. I applied to work for this company as a Physician Assistant and they fraudulently charged my bank account a $89 background fee last year September. I was never provided with a copy of this "background check" nor did the company ever reach out to me for details on the position. They proceeded to charge my account two more times for a "subscription fee" $29 on 10/17/22 and 09/20/22, and $39 01/17/23. I have tried reaching out to this company but there is no option to speak with a live person. I also noticed SEVERAL other negative complaints on ****** review about the same issue I am experiencing. I was solicited by this company in October 2021. I am a nurse practitioner and they were recruiting healthcare providers for their startup telemedicine company. I initially began the process by authorizing a background check which was part of their recruitment process. I later decided not to proceed and no did have any contact or affiliation with this company. Recently, I noticed a series of unauthorized transactions from my bank account. There was 3 transactions for $29 and one transaction for $129 for a total of $216. They had my bank account information from our initial contact and are apparently using it now for fraudulent charges. I purchased a membership with FaceMyDoc at the end of November 2021. They were supposed to provide me with services to start my own virtual healthcare business. I was told that I'd be up and running in about a month, 3-4 months later I was still not set up. After multiple calls and emails, they finally got my information up on their website, but other than that they did NOT do anything they promised (provide me with my own 5pg website with URL, advertising, e-prescription, diagnostic testing, CME, etc).Once I paid the startup fee, I then received an additional contract stating there's additional fees (which I did not sign).They did not offer e-prescription they said to download an app, diagnostic test services was an additional fee, scheduling program was an additional fee etc (none which was disclosed prior to payment of the membership and I was told all of this included when I signed up for the membership). Seems like a bait and switch. Months later I had not heard from them so I checked if I was credentialed to take insured patients yet and finally after multiple emails I was told they had a problem with the company they were using for credentialing, they had to switch companies so there was a delay and to see cash only patients for now. I had given them multiple opportunities to fulfill their membership obligations and they did not. I sent a letter by certified mail June 2022 requesting to terminate the contract with them and to refund my money, I heard nothing back.I had a lawyer send a letter requesting refund for breach of contract and have heard nothing back.Customer Answer

I considered employment with this company as a telehealth provider in the summer or 2021. as part of their screening process, I provided my financial information so they could run a background check on me. ultimately, I did not decide to join their practice. this summer they pulled $39 out of my checking account without warning and for no reason. I am not employed by them and have not used their services, nor did I permit them to bill me ad infinitum. I called the listed phone number to ask for a refund--no answer, no way to leave a message. I emailed them, no reply. I went to their webpage to submit a request for assistance--surprise! That part of the webpage is broken. Whatever service they claim to provide, it seems the actual service they provide is unauthorized withdrawals from people's checking accounts.Customer Answer

I have a problem with Face my doc billing/credentialing department. I signed a contract with them for one year. Currently the *** web site is not working for at least 3 weeks. *** phone number is never in service, no one ever returns email. No communication with providers. No phones, no e mail-everyone is unreachable!Reviews of other providers on internet stating it is fraudulent company and it makes me worried and upset.I have been submitted claims for services rendered for over 3 months, no response from billing department. Hello,I was looking at contracting as a medical provider with this company at the end of 2021. I chose not to. Apparently, they kept my bank account information on file and decided to charge me a "patient data" service fee many months later. I never authorized this charge and have never been a patient with them. They acknowledged their error without apology. Now, they will not respond to inquires regarding refunding the erroneous charge. It is as if they just expect me to be okay paying them a random fee for a service not ordered or rendered. None of the telephone numbers for FaceMyDoc will get me to a person and I have left numerous messages for an update with nobody calling me back. I have sent numerous messages through the chat but nobody gets back to me that way either. I was given a number to text about start up questions and I have sent numerous messages to that number with no response. I emailed the *** last summer and he sent one email back but only told me he had been ill. I interviewed to use the platform for *************** business in January 2021. During the application process it was asked that I provide my bank account information for when I started to see clients for them to pay me my compensation. After the Interview I was sent an email which informed me that if I wrote a positive review on ****** that I would receive a monetary discount for the subscription service. I declined that offer and also declined using the platform for my business. After I had already stated I was not interested in services my bank account information was used to withdraw money $157 for background check That I did not specifically authorize.I did not dispute this as a background check is common part of hiring process even though I had no intention of being ********** beginning last month September 2021 and now October 2021 face my doc has begun to charge me $39 for a subscription monthly which I did not authorize and I have not been in contact or utilized any other services in a year. I have attempted to contact the company and receive no replies via email and the number provided does not have an answering service. In November 2021, I started the process of working with FaceMyDoc as a medical provider. I signed a background check allowing $49 to be deducted for this. $149.00 was actually deducted. I never completed the process because I was not quite sure if I was comfortable with their process of charging the provider, etc. So I did not pursue the matter any further. I did not agree to any further deductions or subscriptions. In Jan 2022, I was charged an additional $29. I did contact the business and was told this would be refunded it was done in error to all the providers in their system, employed and potential. Time passed and I did not get refunded. I honestly had not worried about it too much until yesterday 10/19. I had an additional $39 deducted for a "subscription". Again, I have no subscription or knowledge of anything of the sort. I have attempted to contact via email and phone but have not had any success with either route. I would just like to be refunded and do not want any further deductions.Customer Answer
