      Babbel set my account renewal to automatic, which I was unaware of. They charged my credit card for a new year of service, despite me not using their service in well over a year. Upon contacting customer service, I was refused a refund and only allowed to select another language or offer a voucher to friends or family. They do not send you any account invoice for renewal, just charge you automatically! I will NOT be using their services ever again due to this POOR customer service. Other consumers be aware!!

      A total waste of money!!! Refuse to return emails! Used a wrong email account when signed up that I cannot access. Cancelled account but they sure won't give me my money back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

      DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME! TRY ANY OTHER APP! After reaching out due to application errors and receiving the run around... being told, try this, do this, send a screenshot, now send a screen recording, log in, log out... I still have common issues with the accuracy of the microphone. I've done everything they tell me to do, and yet the issues persist... The frustration is more than enough to affect my learning, and it's really disappointing, and I'm highly unsatisfied. 0/10 ??It affects my learning because it's hard to become familiar with a language when you're not sure if you're saying something wrong, or if the application is glitching... AGAIN. I can't practice speaking the language I'm trying to learn... which tremendously limits my own abilities to learn. It's now been just over 3 weeks of being told "we've forwarded this issue to the tech team and they're working to resolve this issue" If I can stop 1 person from wasting their hard earned money...I will feel like my time wasted wasn't for no reason at all. A customer very highly disappointed and extremely dissatisfied.

      Predators! Run and do your research. They claim there is auto renewal; I am still looking for that clause. Their use of their product has not enhanced my college language class. You are better off with an in-person tutor or setting up meetings with your professor. Others are right there should be notification that an upcoming renewal id imminent. At least, that would be the right thing to do.A college student normally take a foreign language by semesters. After one year, there is a possibility that students may not take the language again; why would a student need auto-renewal. You are worse than used car salesmen and that is saying a lot. I am encouraging everyone I know to stay clear of ******* I know why your business is always advertisingafter one year you become predators! I have notified my credit card company of this transaction and will allow them to resolveAfter that I will spread the word across and around campus! STAY CLEAR OF ************************. NO STARS WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO RATE YOU; SINCE I CANNOT ONE STAR IS BEING GENEROUS!

      You should be sending email reminders that your new billing cycle is about to hit. Very manipulative. You send emails, notifications and reminders through the app ALL the time, but conveniently, dont send billing reminders. Extremely sneaky business practice. Makes me want to gather a class action lawsuit about these shady practices.

      DONT Do it!!! Youre going to get locked into an auto renewal that you cant get out of. Of.all the scary stories you hear about getting locked in and cant get out of. This is the ONE!!!!!!

      First week went well got to part will you have to fill in the blanks, there was one part where it was two words I dont have a space to make two words. There was no way to make two words so when you make it the word its always wrong. I cannot continue until its right. They have not gotten back to me, six days without being able to continue no one will do anything for me and now Im asking for a refund and I still cannot get anything or anyone to answer me. All they say to me is were looking into this and I dont hear from them I want my money back and if you clear these clowns , They are not interested in you once they get you money. I paid for three months and I cant use the app because I cant continue very sad,Babbel you should be ashamed of yourselfs.

      I would forewarn anyone that considers using this company to think twice. They are sneaky with the renewal. It's not something you would expect and they make it easy for you to miss the fine print on the cancellation [policy. When you find out it's usually too late since you will notice a renewal charge on your credit card about a week after the time to cancel has passed. I tried the product and found it did not work so great. I keep hearing all those commercials on learning another language and gave it a shot. After a few days I just couldn't get into the way they teach you and found it hard to continue listening to their " babbel" . They have access to how much you use the product and with 100% certainty they knew I stopped using the product after 60 days. I felt it was worth a shot and was ok with losing $90 on something that did not work out. When I got hit for another $90 on something I did not care for that was truly adding insult to injury. At the very least I hope my remarks will help others avoid the cost of a renewal for a product you are not using. Whats scary is with the auto renewal I'll bet there are folks out there that having been paying for YEARS without using the product. Based on the way they set it up, it's my belief that is there intention. I hope someone will start a class action suit against them. It's a predatory practice and should be changed.

      I did not request a renewal. They default to auto renewal without notifying you that they are getting ready to charge you. The fee also went up. There is not a contact phone number and no person joined the chat. I expect a response!

      Buyer BEWARE! I purchased a lifetime subscription on sale May 2024 for $199 As of June 24, 2024 every time I try to learn a ****** I am ALWAYS redirected to the subscription page asking for more money. Babbel AI says my subscription is not linked to the payment information. I have contacted customer service which is only AI. I cannot even speak to someone. I want a refund. This is a TOTAL RIPOFF!
