    I've been trying to return this camera for months. I bought it in December as a Christmas gift, and according to Birdsy's return policy, the camera may be returned if not satisfied. I do not have the outdoor wifi available to run this camera. This camera was referred to me by an Instagram influencer. I should have done better homework. Each time I email Birdsy with my request for a return refund, I get an automated response saying they will get back to me. It is ***** and they have never gotten back to me. They easily took my $200 in December, yet, they are crickets when it comes to trying to get a refund. Horrible customer service.

    In the short time I had the camera it worked fine. My problem, the squirrels chewed off the power and ethernet connections. The problem is even bigger now that their customer service is practically non-existent. I would not recommend Birdsy for that reason. I only wish these reviews were more readily accessible to the perspective customers.

    I pretty much agree with the other one-star reviews here and have had the same experience. We had a tale of two cameras. If you can *get* the camera to work, it works nicely. The ** program isn't very accurate, but I wasn't expecting it to be at this point in the market. I was pleased with the motion sensitivity of the camera and clarity of the video feed for my visiting birds and wildlife. So pleased that I ordered another as a gift for my uncle. This is when things went horribly wrong. That camera never was able to get up and running. He had the identical issue as another reviewer below -- "The 'red' lights don't go on when I plug it in and it won't join my home LAN, even when I hard-wire it." Half the time the camera doesn't turn on, and the other half it comes on but can't find the internet signal (even when plugged in directly to internet or a manual override is done to search for the camera by ID number.) So he wrote tech support about it. This was 3 months ago, to the day, and the investigation is still ongoing. No phone line provided for a quicker resolution. Just 25 painful back-and-forth emails. 12 provided screenshots on 3 separate occasions, which he patiently provided). Then the investigation seemed to loop to the beginning of the script again. A request for a replacement camera was flat out ignored in favor of restarting the same troubleshooting questions. Never was an offer made to provide a phone number to call for a quicker resolution. I just sent a request for full refund, but given the other reviews here, I don't expect to get my $200 back again. It's unfortunate, because the camera is nice when working and the concept is great. The company as a start-up, though, has significant problems and the top one is their relationship with their customers.
