      Their software platform for solar loans is awful. The only thing on it is the due date, monthly payment and balance. There is no History. No Statements. No interest paid for the year. Customer Service is almost nothing. It takes weeks to get an answer to a message sent from the platform. Nobody answers the phone...it just hangs up on you, on both phone numbers listed. If it didn't require so much time to go through the process of getting another loan (and take points off my credit score), I would certainly change banks. All I want is the amount of interest paid for the year, to file my taxes. They say they mail them, but in 3 years, I've only received the 1098 once.

      No Transparency in Loan Account Information. Every month I need to call customer support to find out how much interest was added to my loan. This information should be given upfront in my Account Details. If you're charging me interest, I deserve to know how much you're adding every month. I can't wait to finish paying off this loan. I will never use NBT again.

      NBT us NOT customer friendly. They are greedy, rude and unwilling to help customers especially ones who were stuck with them when car dealerships were told to go with the customers bank or credit union. They do not do refinancing and if you go into repo they (NBT Bank) restricts access to your account so you can't see account information like the balance that you have made or have left to pay and all payments and you can't make payments online or through the app, you have lose pay to call the 1-800 number. They send you letters dated and say you have 48 hours to make it payment or actions will be taken and you get the letter 2 days after the date deadline. They do not try to work with the customer when the customer tries to make payment arrangements because their paycheck is unpredictable.

      Money was withdrawn from my account from the bank and when I called to have it investigated I was accused of withdrawing it signing for it when I HAD NOT! The teller Joann was dismissive demeaning and offered no solutions or help. When I went to the bank they later realized that THEY MADE THE MISTAKE! No Apologies nothing! This woman is rude and because of this I will.be closing my account!

      I selected a personal loan, but it's actually an auto loan. Forget this bank. I'm going through a divorce in Massachusetts with high legal fees, and I called them in February 2024 to ask to postpone my February payment. 'No problem,' they said, and made remarks on my file. I paid two payments in March to settle the account, but lo and behold, they reported it to the credit agencies and dropped my credit by 100 points. I wouldn't recommend this company to loan you a pair of socks.

      This bank is in business to make money off of their own customers! We are in the worst economy . Food wise. Cost wise. I have spent ,540 dollars in overdraft fees this month alone. They did pay the checks. But when I asked kindley to waive any fee at all they said no. I've been a customer almost 9 years. They also told me I could close the account no big deal. The account is on auto deposit with one job. I can't get approved for overdraft protection. I'm a bankers dream! They could care less. I make 70k a year. Sad

      They use California credit report scam companies like ******** and ********** that have low consumer ratings. ******** has conflict information on me like they are trying to extort money from me to clear up their creepy stuff they have on my report that makes no sense and is conflicting. I could not get a credit card through NBT Bank or elsewhere even though I never had any financial issues, never bankrupt, no late fees or neglect issues, and once had a charge card for more than 35 years, and a prior credit card for 10 years, and no debts. I am a small business owner, now 60 years old. Instead, NBT offered overdraft protection that includes a $35 overdraft fee, when ****** was linked to my NBT account and I did not have a chance to fill it, I was charged $35.00 for around 10 cents overdraft. I still have more than $2,000 missing from my account in one branch. Beware of NBT bank.

      They are not accommodating. ****** wanted to refund me an item 1300 dollars worth and all they needed was a dispute from the bank and they agreed to refund me. The bank refused. Stated it was ordered online. Not sure what thst has to do with them the business i went thru to pay it. ******. Already said they would pay it. Anytime your account gets overdrawn you get charged everyday for being late every time a charge goes thru. It can be 2 dollars and your getting charged 70. It's crazy I work hard and have to dig myself out of a hole for something so small. Will be switching to **** ** ******* soon as I can

      This bank falsely reported a missed payment to ********** on my account so I called, the guy told me they were working on it and offered to send me an email that shows that it was a simple glitch and I'm on good standing. 6 hours later I called again and now the phone call gets hung up whenever I get by the prompts. Thanks to this bank and there awful business practices I'm now losing my pre-approval to buy my new house and they could care less about trying to fix there own mistakes. If only 0 stars was allowed
