I purchased a 2013 ***** GS450H engine that they delivered it to my mechanic. Soon after delivery, my mechanic called me and told me nothing is matching up. Turns out, they sent the wrong engine. My mechanic immediately informed them and sent pictures to show they delivered the wrong engine. He never got a response, so I made the call myself, taking time from my day job, and eventually spoke to ***** (presumably the guy who handles acquisition/cataloging of inventory). He told me they were gonna look for the correct engine and give me a call back so they can arrange a swap. He NEVER called back.I called the next day for an update, spoke to ***** again, and now he tells me they don't actually have the engine, HOWEVER they're eyeing a 2013 ***** GS450H in an auction, and he would contact me by end of week Friday to see if they were able to buy it and swap me that engine. I agreed to wait a few days for the auction and for ***** to call me back. When Friday came he NEVER contacted me. He lied again.I waited the weekend and called the following Monday for an update and turns out they didn't get the car. At this point there was no option left a refund. ***** told me they were gonna pick up the wrong engine from my mechanic and then send my refund.Over the course of the next week, ***** would REPEATEDLY tell me his guy is gonna pick up the engine "TODAY". Every day I would patiently wait, then by the end of the day, I'd contact my mechanic and he'd inform me, the engine was never picked up. I'd then call ***** and ask for an update and he'd repeat the same thing.Eventually a week later they pick up the engine, but the next day I check my card, and see no refund was issued. I call them again, and I ask about my refund, and he tells me he's gonna send it **"TODAY"**I've had many calls since then, as of today (5 days later), I see no pending refund in my account and just got off the phone with them after being permanently placed on hold.

I purchased a motor for a Mercedes ML350 on 1/29/25, it shipped and was delivered to Upstate Collision in ******, ** on 3/1/25. I spent my last dime having the motor swapped out and the motor doesn't work. I contacted them on 2/19/25, let them know I wanted a refund as it has a 6mo warranty. I advised I did not have anymore money to have the motor removed and I would be forced to have them pick up the car as I can't afford anything else. Everyday has been a different excuse as to why they can't pick up the vehicle or refund me. At this point I have no vehicle and no money. It cost me $3000 just to swap the motor and the vehicle body is in wonderful condition and is worth about $3500. I am losing out on a vehicle and all that I have spent. I am on a fixed income and can't pay to have the motor removed and can't seem to get them to give me my money back. This has been a horrific experience and I saved for a yr just to be able to do this motor swap. I am beside myself.

We purchased a used transmission from capital VIA VIN, as well is specific 3 digit (QZX) code on transmission. He verified it, and said it was in stock. Ordered 1/22/24. Delivered 1/26/24. Paid $4500. Took 2018 Audi Q& apart, and when prepping used transmission, realized it was incorrect. Wrong code on it, etc. Nothing matched up. I called up, spoke with *****. He said, oh we must have delivered one for an A6. We have the right one here. He delivered the replacement, and picked up the original one (which my staff had to lift on to their truck) on 2/1/24. We lined it up, and that was also incorrect. Wrong code again, hardware doesn't line up. Truck was already gone by the time we verified. I called *****, and asked him to come get this, and bring a check. I have lost money with this car sitting here apart. This was on 2/1/24. We are now at 3/20/24, I still have the wrong transmission, and out $4500. I have called NEARLY EVERY DAY, and have been getting the same run around. How is this place functioning? I want my money back (should be plus money lost from this, and interest on the $4500.)

On 8/10/23 an engine was delivered to my business shop. After installing the engine, it doesn't start. We did compression test on it, and found out that it doesn't have enough compressor on the pistons. I called Capital and told what was going on with engine and they told me that I will received another engine in three business days. I have been going back and fourth with them and no one sim to want to help me out.

Ordered a transmission from Capital Auto Salvage on 2/8/2023 for a 2010 **** F150. The transmission I received had the part numbers wiped and scratched off, but I had my mechanic install anyways.Transmission was incorrect, shifted horribly and idled at 3k rpm. I told Capital and Capital sent a replacement transmission on 2/15/2023. Also had part numbers wiped and scratched off, we installed anyways. Same issue, but idled at 2.7k rpm.I then ordered a transmission with more miles from a local shop, part numbers were intact and matched my old trans, and it works great.I waited before installing the new transmission sourced elsewhere before contacting Capital, to verify that Capital's transmission was faulty and rule out any other issue. I called Capital on 3/6/2023 (26 days after my initial order date) and told them that the second transmission was also faulty and requested them to pick up their two transmissions and issue a refund. Their policy (on the backside of their receipt) says "no refunds after 30 days" which implies that I can return for a refund if under 30 days. They rudely said "no refunds after 30 days, store credit only". I politely told them it has not been 30 days yet, and they refused to acknowledge this.I spoke to **** the next day on 3/7/2023 , and he said he would call me back later that day with a resolution. He has not contacted me since. Now Capital won't take back their old transmissions, and wont issue me a refund even though it contacted them before the 30 days, I am out of the labor of installing twice by a reputable shop.
