I parked my new ****** 4Runner at the long term parking lot *************************************, from 4/19/24 till 4/24/24. Upon returning to my vehicle, the car was filthy, even tho I had just washed and waxed the car myself 2 days prior to parking there. There was a large amount of gas missing from the tank I had filled to full on the way there. We noticed that there was damage to the vehicle and was told by the lot attendant that I had to contact corporate office. As I said, the car was covered in dirt and it was dark, so it was near impossible to properly inspect the car of scratches or damage beyond a massive dent. We returned home and I cleaned the car so I could properly take photos for Bolt corporate and further inspect the car. I found damage in four different locations, all having to have happened at different times (Hood completely scratched (30 plus scratches), Back right bumper missing paint, front left quarter panel missing paint, drives door edge (looks like door was opened into a concrete wall). Also upon further inspecting the inside of the car, we found marijuana vape pens in the passenger side door and random candy I have never seen under the back seat. I have called Bolt and they say they can't help me and I have to call or email corporate, which I have done 4 times including this information and pictures and have heard absolutely nothing. Also, upon reading further into the poor ****** reviews after this incident, I see that this has happened to many people with the same damages and stories. It seems that an employee there likes to take peoples cars while they are gone for the week and joy ride them around while damaging them as well. I really need help here as this company is stealing peoples vehicles while they are supposed to be caring for them. Please help me here, thank you.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:My car is brand new and was detailed and ceramic coated a week before going there. It was flawless upon dropping it off. My company has a gps installed in our vehicles and it clearly shows my vehicle moving out of the lot while I was away. This was made clear to **** in my attempts to get anyone out to respond to me. There was significant damage to 5 different locations on the carAll which had to have all happened at separate times. A weed vaporizer and random candy were found in the passenger door pocket and the back seat. I was never contacted once by management despite numerous calls, emails, and visits to the location with NYPD after a complaint was filed. Also somehow I lost 1/4 tank of gas while parked there for 5 days.

We spoke to ************** about his claim, and we told him that we will need proof from his GPS that he claims that his vehicle left our lot. We also told him that we have video of where his vehicle was stored for the whole time it was on our lot. It was only move when we need to get ready his due back date. ************** has not provided any proof of movement, or police report that he says he has. ************** did not fill out any claim before he left the premise of *** location. We do not recognize claims once the customer leaves the lot. ************** has also left a negative review on ******* which our legal department is investigating for legal action.Initial Complaint

I brought my car to **** parking for a business trip when flying out of ***. This was not the least expensive place; however; I wanted to assure a safe parking area. I parked from March 16-March 23, 2024. When I arrived the shuttle driver walked around the car with me for an inspection. He only noted that there was a scratch by the back bumper and asked if we wanted to take a picture, I said no since we were aware of the minor scratch. When I returned the car was brought out front for us; the front fender was badly scratched; smudged, and obviously done by rubbing against another vehicle or hard object. I immediately brought this to the attendants attention. We asked to speak to a manager and was told there is no manager on site; and she proceeded to take pictures and fill out a form. We asked to see the camera and she said it would be looked at upon the managers return. The manager never called and we got NO correspondence, acknowledgement or anything from ****. After numerous calls, and being told by their claims adjuster that most people "just forget about it ", I decided to file this complaint. I see another complaint that is identical to what happened to us. BUYER BEWARE. This place is dishonest; shady, poorly managed and I would highly dissuade anyone from using the **** facilities for their parking needs.Business Response

Good morning,
We did inform the customer of our investigation; we told the customer that his damage to his car was not done our lot. He didn't like what was told to him and he said that he was going to place a complaint against my business because he feels that I should pay for the damage to his car. ************** told the manager that he didn't know if it was done on the lot or somewhere else. We checked the camera to see where ****************** car was parked and what was around his car that could cause the damage he claimed. ****************** vehicle in a space by itself. The staff at Bolt Parking pride themself in taking care of customers vehicles. In the likely hood that we do damage to a customer's vehicle we take responsibility.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The damage was most certainly done at BOLT Parking while it was parked there for the week. I will repeat what I said before; when we dropped off the car, it was sunny and clear weather. The shuttle driver did a walkaround with us looking at the car. He commented on a minor scratch on the rear bumper, hidden by the trunk when closed. He asked if we wanted to ****** about that on the paperwork and we said no because we were aware of it. The gentleman; also during the inspection of the car commented on the great condition of the car. He was impressed because he rode the same car to his prom; and this car looked brand new. He spent quite some time looking it over.
Upon arriving on the pick up day; it was raining, as soon as we got off the shuttle the scratched front bumper was plain and evident. We immediately asked to see the camera to see what happened. The clerk said she could not access the camera but; not to worry; the manager will take a look and take care of this. We filled out the forms and she proceeded to take pictures of the damage. We were told he would call us on Monday, we picked the car up on Saturday. After some days went by I called to see what was happening. It was then becoming clear that BOLT Parking did not intend on making good on this and that excuses started coming out. One representative from **** said most people eventually forget about it and stop calling. It was after a few weeks that I realized what she meant and that's when I filed this complaint. In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Bolt parking overcharge me, I made an online reservation through airport parking reservation, the reservation was from 9/14/2023 10-10:30am drop off till 9/18/2023 10:30pm pick up. The online price I was charged for was for 5 days totaling $124.27, I paid a deposit of $18.48 and I had an $8 off coupon. When I went to pick up my car I was charged $194.09, I explained to the sales clerk that the price was incorrect and showed him my parking reservation information. He explained to me that there a $3 fee for suv which I was aware of. I explained I was aware of the fee but asked how my online reservation changed me $19.99 a day and now when I pick up my vehicle they charge me *****. No where on my reservation information does it say they can change the pricing to park my car, I only had my car there for 4 days but when I made the reservations they charged me for 5 which I didnt dispute because of the low pricing. I would like my refund for $88.30.Business Response

I left my BRAND NEW vehicle with ******** on 5/28/22-6/4/22. I took pictures of my vehicle and the asked that the attendant sign the ticket stating that there are no damages, to which they did. Upon my arrival, there is a dent on my bumper and paint freshly scraped off due to the damage. I took pictures of the damage, had the employee take pictures of the damage and ask that a supervisor be contacted, when I was told that "there is no supervisor" and that "they will be in next week". The parking attendant also refused to call anyone, stating that there is no "phone number" for a supervisor. I filled out paperwork and was "assured" that someone will contact me next week. After 2 weeks of no contact and my repeated attempts at communication, I started a paper trail via email. I communicated with the claims department who told me to get 3 estimates and since we have video I will "definitely be reimbursed". I immediately obtained 3 estimates ranging from $1200-$1500 for the severe bumper damage. No one responded back to me for 4 weeks and then stated that their "claims adjustor is out". In efforts to obtain more information, I continued via email. Today, 9/16/22 I received an email stating that they will only pay $350.00 since they will pay in cash. THIS IS NEGLIGENCE, MISTREATMENT AND FRAUD! I paid $280.27 for the parking ALONE, now they will only cover $350 for the DAMAGE THEY DID?! I am asking for the lowest estimate amount to be paid to me! I am not asking for much! Just cover my damage that you did!!Customer Answer
