They took Twenty thousand dollars to do the floor and walls of my basement for $11,980 dollars. With a small powder room wit h shower, $16,780. He has $20 thousand dollars of my money. And no one has showed up since December 16th. I was then told that I have to pay another $10 thousand dollars to pay the workers. All I wanted was the floor and walls to be done. I was told to take out a loan as the job is over $ 34 thousand dollars. After I asked why do I have to pay another $10 thousand dollars. I was told that to put in a shower, the cost is the same amount as the basement. At present I don't have the use of my basement, and
my yard is packed with garbage.

Hi. The BBB algorithm only allows 8 pages of attachments so I can't completely add all the contracts ***** ****** signed. The job was: (a) A complete Basement remodel; (b) A Full Bathroom Addition and Remodel; (c) a Laundry Room. The total price for all 3 projects was $33,560. Then there were other options detailed-if just a Powder Room was installed (not a Shower) deduct $4,800. She chose the Full Bathroom. Another option was building an extra Wall in front of the Laundry Room for an additional $2,750 and she initialed that. So the total of the 3 jobs was $36,310. She has paid $19,000. She told me she has no more money left to put into the job. I told her while we don't need more money to continue working, we will need the total amount agreed on as mentioned in the Contracts signed by both parties. She told me again she has no more money to put into the job. I told her we have to follow contracts. This is not a "casual thing". We don't just build the entire job(s) and hope for the best. The contracts were extremely detailed (see enclosures). If there is a way for me to add the other pages please let me know as you would need to see how detailed it was written but more importantly- Mrs. ****** signatures which she is not disputing they are hers. We'd love to finish but she needs to commit to the agreed upon price. I can't put my own money into her house. I'm not quite sure how anyone thinks they can get a complete Basement Remodel, a Complete Bathroom Addition and a Laundry Room for under $20,000. It's impossible and she would know that had she gotten 3 estimates as recommended as common practice. Sincerely, James V*******, Pres
