    hired long construction for an UPGRADE to my gutters to seamless may 2024. (several visits are noted in the attachment. The persons who came to my home came and tore off my existing gutters/downspouts in a hurry in rain; they put up gutters without paying any attn to the length (correct measurement, placment of the gutters they tore off) The gutters are all about 4 inches short. they did the entire job in about 1 hour for my entire house; in tearing them off they caused damages to the edges of my roof, metal, drip edge, etc. as well as did not place a downspout where i requested and left a few other downspouts in wrong place etc. this was on or about JUNE 7.th; I took photos and contacted long on 10th the following monday as soon as they opened. ON june 12th they sent out a rep STEVE who looked and said he saw the damages and the gutters cut short; said he would schedule an appt, they would fix damages and redo the gutters and HE would supervise. About a week later Steve returned with some man and one of long's employees and some other young man; they did not call or notify me ; they had called and said they would stop but would call to confirm; this visit they tried to convive me that my former gutters were NOT the length they were and extended past the edge of the roof shingles to catch and act as a drainage system; I said they were normal -hey were that long; they were a bit lower and all my gutters were the right length; they a few times said NO way they could have been; that i was basically ignorant and repeated a few times how the gutters did not go that far, then were questioning sort of to themselves if they gutters had hangars, if my old gutters were bigger and then came back to tell me look the gutters could not have been that long and this is how we do them all the time now and it is your siding; MY siding was there when the unprofessional crew TORE them off. please read email attached for further i have filed a complaint w nys consumer protection as well
