    Back in August and October of 2023, I went to Good *** for a mammogram as I have done every year for the past 7 years, and no issues. This particular year, Empire State Radiology billed me $171.57. I called them back in 2023 and had to get my insurance involved because my insurance stated there was no charge and it was all covered. After days of back and forth, Empire State Radiology stated this was ************* forward to now, I am getting a bill after over a year stating I owe for the services back in 2023. I have been on the phone with them for hours, several emails, and was told this will be resolved. Nothing!! I got another bill, I called several times again and was told to send an explanation of benefits because they claim not to have any records of the many calls between myself and my insurance company with them. I sent the explanation of benefits that show I should not be charged for mammograms or reading. This is an issue and to bill a patient over a year later after this has been resolved is ridiculous. I have been going to this facility every year for over 7 years now and never had this issue. I have read so many complaints about this company on the internet for this very same thing, billing patients for services that are covered and insurance companies having to go back and forth with them. This is not good and needs to be stopped.

    Empire State Radiology is out of network with *****************. Balances that were billed to the patient are the amounts that were applied towards the member deductible. Due to the age of the services and delay in sending out a timely statement, we have provided a courtesy adjustment on our end and there is no longer any patient balance due for services rendered in 2023.

    I hope they stop using doctors to read simple Mammogram results that aren't in network for the patient.

    On 12/16/2024 I sent a payment for $19.01 to Empire State Radiology PO box ***** ***************. The payment was sent from my bank account in ***************. This payment was sent because I received an invoice from Empire State due on 12/16/24 stating that my insurance company said that this was my coinsurance. When I received an *** from my insurance company, after I made the payment of $19.01, I noted that the payment for that amount was also paid by my health insurer. I called on 12/16/24 to request a refund be made to me. The reply to me was to call in ***** hours and get the status. I called again on 12/30/24 and spoke to ******** who said he would process the return. I called again on 1/16/25 and was told that the payment would be expedited. I called again today 2/5/2025, spoke to *** who said the payment has still not been released. There is no reason for this delay and for ESR to keep postponing their payment to me. Please give this matter your attention and hopefully your voice will assist me in getting reimbursement of $19.01 Thank you.******* ********** ******

    I was a patient at ****************************** ***********, ** May *****, 2024. Twice I had ultrasound read by outside radiologists from this company. The first was May 19 in the emergency room. The company generated a billing statement on June 7. By the time I received it in the mail, I had received multiple emails and texts from them. I paid it by check on June 23 and the company cashed the check. I continued to get emails and text mails hounding me. I had my insurance company get the on the phone. Their phone number connects to a billing center in the ***********. The filing supervisor is in the ***********. There is no *************** to complain to. I complained to the hospital and was told this company is very bad on the billing and it upset many customers / patients. You need the because you are sick. This makes it worse. Today 07 July, I received another email hounding me for the same bill I paid June 23 and they cashed the check. I can't get the to stop handing me for a bill I paid. and I might have another one for that hospital stay. I would like to scream. Thank you.
