    *** Daniels Plumbing, *** of ***************, **, has cheated and lied to me and the AG's office about the work he did. After doing a small plumbing job I was handed a bill of $722 for work that was not done and I did not request. The work that he did do was shoddy and has since broken and I am back to square one. He sent his men to my home on 8/5/2024 to replace a toilet tank mechanism (float and flapper) that was leaking and wouldn't stop running. After less than 45 minutes, the job was complete and I was presented with a bill of $722.35 for this minor job. I naturally balked, but paid it due to the intimidating nature of the workers. I called him to complain but was rebuffed. I texted him that I wanted to see an itemized bill, but he refused. I contacted the *************, NYS AG's office and spoke with, *****. He sent them a letter and received back a false itemized bill listing work that was not done. ***** suggested I contact the BBB, as I am doing now. On Friday, 8/23, the repair in the toilet tank failed and it is leaking again. I called *** Daniels at least three times since then to tell him of the broken repair, to no avail. I have the original bill where he does not list the work done and the 2nd erroneous bill that Daniels sent to the *** where there are many itemized work listed, but this work was never done and never requested by me or anyone. I want my money back. He did not complete the repair and lied about the work. I must now hire another plumber to do this small job.
