I have the same problem with Direct Protect Warranty and Empire Auto Protect. I purchased a policy from *********** on 7/18/23 with a premium cost of $150.21 per month. So 16 months later I have a claim. But when I went to make a claim for maintenance, they said there was a mileage inconsistency.I noticed someone mistakenly misprinted the odometer reading listing my then-current mileage incorrectly at ******* miles (when it should have been listed at ******). This caused my claim to be denied 16 months later. To be clear, I have faithfully and consistently paid my premiums of $150.21 on time each month for 16 months and I am highly disappointed at the service I'm getting now that I need to make a claim. Over several days I have spoken to "Direct Protection Warranty" many times and they referred me back to the Empire Auto Protect office. They insist that since "Empire Auto Protect" is the broker who sold me the policy, stating that that office is the only one who can change the incorrect mileage on the policy. Then, when I spoke with "Empire Auto Protect" I am told again to call Direct Protection Warranty "because they are the only ones that could change to mileage". So now I have been getting the run around on this issue for several days with no resolution. I have been tossed back and forth and still am being told to go another round to get the same dialog from both "Empire Auto Protect" the seller of the policy and "Direct Protection Warranty".These warranty companies are very unscrupulous and you should NOT purchase an extended warranty from them. To date, over the last 16 months, I have paid a total of $2400 in premiums with no one being available to correct a simple problem. I have since provided 2 oil change receipts from the Mercedez Benz dealership that performed an oil change on my vehicle (with a clear odometer mileage visible) around the time of purchasing the policy as proof of the mileage discrepancy. Please help me.

This warranty company is horrible. This company is connected to Empire Auto Protect, who sells you the claim. I have had this policy for 8 months never used it. I submit a claim, which was denied due to mileage inconsistency. They reported 2 different mileage that they had on file. Per there auto protection book effective date is 40 days after date of purchase. I contacted Direct Protect Warranty and Empire Auto and both companies place the blame on each other. Neither will take accountability. Mileage inconsistency as my mileage when up, as it supposed to because I drive my vehicle. This company does not pay its claims, the representatives are rude and offer no resolution. Do not purchase any extended warranty with these companies they lie telling you they will issue a refund to get you off the phone.
