My 15 year old cat had been on his way out the past few weeks. He was still quite happy, eating, drinking, purring, etc until this morning. I woke up to find him struggling to breathe and for the first time he didn't purr. I knew it was time to peacefully put him down. I took him to Green Acres and had the worst experience. Once we were put in a room a tech , named Jessica came in the room. The first thing I told her was that my cat was really having trouble breathing and it was time to put him down. From the moment she touched him, I was uncomfortable. She was man handling my fragile cat. She put him on the scale, saying he weighed 8 pounds and proceeded to squeeze him in her one hand/arm while trying to write something down. I saw the lower half of my cat struggling bc she was squeezing him. So i walked over to her and pet him. She was hurting my cat, so he bit her and she grabbed his hair on the back of his neck, and THREW him back on the table. My cat was GASPING FOR AIR, he cried bc he couldn't move and then took one last breath and he was GONE. I was hysterical, telling her to be more gentle with my fragile cat. After she threw him, we all knew he was gone, she said ok, I'm going to get him out of here!! I said NO! THE HELL YOU ARE. I would like someone else to come in the room and she said fine and walked out. I was in AWE of what I just witnessed. This woman should NOT be treating animals!!!! Do NOT go here. She never ONCE came back and apologized!! To manhandle a fragile cat and literally throw him back on the table knowing well he was on his way out is disgusting behavior. What I witnessed was absolutely disgusting and disheartening. I lost my baby without even getting to say goodbye.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR FURBABIES, I IMPLORE YOU NOT TO BRING THEM TO THIS AWFUL, AWFUL PLACE IF YOU CAN HELP IT. THEY'RE ONLY AFTER MONEY AND DO NOT CARE FOR YOUR PET AT ALL.
We brought our 15 year old cat in for a possible UTI. We explained this to the staff and techs. The first thing the "Vet" Corey B******** (who introduced himself as a tech) wanted to do was EUTHANIZE MY CAT. He said it very casually, like he was asking me if I wanted fries with that. He said that within the first 30 seconds of our conversation. Disgusting, right? It gets worse.
We waited a while and they came back with an $1800 test estimate to which we declined. Then they came back with another test estimate of $400-$600 that she didn't even need - so we also declined that. They kept wanting to focus on non-issues while my cat is sitting in the back, alone, scared and in pain. They wanted to focus on a heart murmur and arrhythmia (which I have since followed up with a new vet) instead of getting my cat the treatment she needed in the moment. They would not let me see her, nor were we updated much at all unless they wanted money from us. We essentially had to DEMAND that they do an urinalysis, and it took an hour and a half of NO news whatsoever for them to come back with the results only to find out that we were right, it's a simple UTI.
I will NEVER come back. Thankfully my cat will make a full recovery from this with our new vet.

Brought my 12 year old dog to Green Acres Emergency Clinic on Monday night, September 19th. After an examination, it was determined that the best course of action would be to put him down.
After being charged an exorbitant amount of money for an office visit, euthanasia, and private cremation, I called another local emergency vet clinic in my immediate area and was shocked at the price discrepancy. Green Acres was almost double the other clinic. I will post the comparison below.
At the most difficult time in my pets life, Green Acres took it upon themselves to price gouge me as much as they could. Talk about kicking people when they’re down.
When I called to speak with the clinic about these charges, I was bounced around from person to person, 3 unreturned phone calls, and a week later, it finally ended with the administrators sending a poor employee to do their dirty work to tell me they wouldn’t adjust the price to make this right. They should be ashamed of themselves.
    Green Acres Pricing
    Office Visit-$140
    Euthanasia-$292.17
    Private Cremation-$461.76
    TOTAL: $894.55
Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center Pricing:
    Office visit-$156
    Euthanasia-$125
    Private Cremation-$210
    TOTAL-$491

Incredibly friendly, all of the staff. That was really appreciated. And I was amazed that after being warned about a 6-8 hour wait, I was seen in 10 minutes. Top notch. Could not ask for anything better. Everyone's kindness was what I appreciated most.
