This is a BIG SCAM. They do the bait and switch and just try to milk you for your hard earn money and then they try to come back for more. Do not give them a cent. They don't delver on what they said at allMarquis Who's Who Ventures LLC

We are in receipt of the above review. For clarity, there has never been a cost associated with inclusion in Marquis Whos Who. Biographies are included in our registry strictly on merit no one can buy or purchase a position, listing, or award from Marquis Whos Who. Naturally, there are fees associated with editorial and commemorative items, such as narrative content, books, plaques, specialized websites, and distribution services. There is never an obligation to purchase these types of items nor is it contingent upon inclusion. It is also important to note that Mr. *** has not talked with anyone at Marquis about available products and services since last year. To commemorate his inclusion in Marquis, Mr. *** opted to purchase a commemorative program in September 2023. All items, with the exception of the ************************************* *******, were fulfilled and shared with him. Program elements that included content were reviewed and approved by Mr. ***. Please note that the 2024 edition of Whos Who in ******* is pending production and is slated for release in 2025. He will receive the title once it ships from our printer.Please be assured that Marquis continues to maintain the tradition of excellence established by our founder, ************************* Marquis, 126 years ago with the first publication of Who's Who in ******* . An elderly family member was recently contacted by Marquis for inclusion in their listing. He had an interview, and we were shocked to learn that he had paid $1200 immediately afterwards. Having seen online that Marquis does charge for inclusion, we naturally assumed this was a scam. It was, but not of the type we first assumed.I called Marquis to learn whether it was in fact them who reached out and charged this sum. Turns out it was. When asked what the $1200 was for, the representative was very hesitant to speak and said only "commemorative items". When pressed, she elaborated- "a plaque". That's one heck of an expensive inclusion trophy!Beware- this company is targeting elderly community members and extracting large sums of money for a dubious "honor" and a glorified year book.Marquis Who's Who Ventures LLC

I had a phone conversation with them that lasted over *********************************************** I was so swayed into this until I discovered the costs. I should have done my research up front with BBB before accepting a lengthy phone call. Being retired and doing some consulting I didn't really feel this was added value to my time. Based on the other reviews I'll only say that I've had the same experience as *** R, ***** S and many others. I feel their business practices are deceitful and don't provide a service that is career beneficial in any way. How this business has an A+ rating is beyond me.Marquis Who's Who Ventures LLC

1 starThis organization is very deceitful. I got a call telling me that I had been selected for publication in their books. I asked if there was a cost associated and they said no. During the second call, after they buttered me up, they offered me a package that started at almost $1,500. When I reminded them that I had been told there would be not cost, they told me that was only for getting my name listed on their directory. Having the great honor of being published in their books, getting a plaque and some other things required payment. As I said no, they went down to a package for about $280. When I said I wanted to think about it they told me I had to make a decision at that moment. I wasted almost an hour of my time and shared personal things thinking that they were truly interested in my background and accomplishments. I was not pleased with this company. I originally thought this was a low cost product for being featured. A woman called me and interviewed me, after receiving the letter. After having a detailed phone conversation about my career as a nurse, I was then told I was selected to be included in this prestigious organization. Then they told me the price. $1700 for inclusion, which includes a plaque and biographical feature. I told them I cant afford this right now, and was just continued to be pressured to do it. I paid the $1700, which did not include the plaque or a copy of the magazine. The plaque was even more of a cost added on. Although the professional biography was well written, I was then assigned a personal branding ambassador who called me today. She told me I was selected for the highest inclusion of the Marquis Whos Who millennial magazine, which required another interview about my career. She talked me up, saying how wonderful I was. Then, said, is your card number the same? I said I already paid for this. She said honey this is for the magazine feature of which you will be on the front page. Theres a cost for that, $2100!! Are you kidding me? After telling her multiple times I could not afford that, as I just paid almost $2000 for the inclusion, she continued to lower the price ****, *******? Of course each option came with less and less and she said her manager never approves such things. I again said I am not interested and please remove my card from this. This is a sales con, where they try to get more and more money from you after you are already included! What an absolute scam! I cant believe I fell for it in the first place. Please, do not bother. They just want your money more and more by trying to say youve been refeatured and the company is impressed with you. It is a scam. I bought into it. They charge for everything and it is extremely expensive. Then they continue to call to purchase other items and to be featured into other sections. I deeply regret falling into this trap. I do not know if they share their information with other companies, but now I keep getting calls from other publishers that want to "feature" my accomplishments for money. I have not received their book yet that I purchased for so much money. Even then, why would I want a book for? I feel so naive for falling into this trap.Marquis Who's Who Ventures LLC

Of course I looked up this business and felt honored to have been selected by them to have an interview. Networking and brand awareness is huge for small businesses. But, I felt very violated after my interview with Marquis Whos Who. I was told I was selected with the potential of having my biography/small business story published by them with links and a plaque; an interview scheduled, we talked and she was very kind. Then after my interview she said I qualified and welcome to Marquis Whos Who. Then, continued with everything she already said I was selected for and started asking me for thousands of dollars to obtain the things she already promised me.All the way down to $250 for just the plaque.I requested everything to be removed from her documents. My name, my story, I dont want any other small business to think I support this type of behavior.I still feel sick to my stomach. I do not usually get scammed, I feel like I make better decisions than that. But this business definitely has it all figured out to get your time out of you. Then start asking for thousands of dollars from you to actually obtain the things they promised at the beginning. I had no idea that Whos Who existed before I was nominated. After doing research I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to be part of such an amazing experience. To have an opportunity to be part of history in a way that can never be argued because its LITERALLY a story told through the eyes of those that actually experienced it. To be able to LITERALLY experience ANY DREAMS that YOUR MIND can possibly imagine and have access to an ENTIRE NETWORK of the WORLDS GREATEST MINDS is PRICELESS!! I personally dont think theres enough money in the universe that can purchase that type of power. Their quick response to their customers complaints further shows what a truly amazing set of minds run this business! Its absolutely flawless and I am beyond honored to be able to experience this opportunity. Its extremely sad to me to see so many people not understand or see what this opportunity really means. Theres history that you can argue against & then theres history thats solidified into the earth (or as close as you can get) and history itself.
