    2/6/24 Appt at 3:15 pm. When I got there the receptionist told me I cancelled my appt. I told them I crust called and confirmed it. The receptionist then told me they would squeeze me in. I waited about 10-15 minutes and went in to see dentist. I had 2 teeth extracted on my right side of mouth and a broken tooth on the left side of my mouth. After procedure the nurse asked which pharmacy I use, I said **** ******* on ******** Street. My roommate went to pharmacy around 7:00 and there was no prescription there. I started taking ******* for the pain.
    I checked with the pharmacy on Wednesday and still no prescription. I called on Wednesday at 2:56 pm and was told they would send it over. On Thursday still wasn’t there.
    I messaged them Friday and asked again because the pain was getting worse. The response was they were sorry and will send out by the end of the day. At 9:35 pm I sent another message that I had not received the prescription.
    On Sunday morning my face swelled up and my right eye was about closed shut.I again called the dentist office think they would have a on call service but there was not. I left a message on the machine I called in sick to my job and went to the walk in at ******* on ******* Road. I was diagnosis with Migratory dental abscess, swelling of gums. They told me if my pain got worse go to emergency room.

    About 8:30 pm I went to emergency room. The swelling had moved to my neck.
    I was admitted to ******* with Facial Cellulitis, Periorbital cellulitis.
    My friend called the dentist office Monday morning and asked them what medication was supposed to be sent to ****, my friend told them I was in hospital and put her on hold. They told her they would call me back. We then called later in the afternoon and told me my medication was sent to **** in the morning ( which was the 12th). The receptionist then told me the office manager would call me back at 3:00 pm. Never received a call back.

    I received a letter from debt collector **** ********** ******* Inc., on Saturday, December 10th. The date of this letter is December 02, 2022 and is in reference to a debt I owed to New York Dental Group dba in Vestal, NY, in the amount of $258.00. I called New York Dental Group dba directly on November 18th, 2022, at 10:39AM, and paid the amount in full on the due date: November 18, 2022, $258.00. The confirmation/reference number I was given by (I believe her name was Jennifer) was ***************. I requested a payment receipt be mailed to my address on file, and I received this on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022. The confirmation/reference number I was given over the phone is the same as on the payment receipt I received. Please see the 3 attached pictures of the supporting documents: IMG_0974, IMG_0975, IMG_0976.

    Called business and spoke with Tammi who stated that the complaint has been resolved.  The consumer was sent letter in error, we have spoken with her already and then we received the letter from BBB.  This issue was never put on her credit report.

    My name is ******** ******* and I'm contacting you in regards to NY Dental Group, located in Vestal NY. Since becoming a patient in January 2022, I've had multiple instances of malpractice happen to me from botched fillings (which had to be redone) to failure to properly communicate with a patient.

    Starting from the beginning, I had to have multiple fillings done to bring my dental health up to speed. The fillings were not done correctly, which prompted a redo. A few months passed and I had to go back in August to find out I had to have a tooth extracted, one of the ones they had recently filled.

    Three months after this, in November 2022, I had to return to their office for tooth pain once again, and now I'm looking at yet another extraction, an extraction they refuse to do at their office because the dentist "didn't feel comfortable doing it".

    Yesterday on November 30th, I was told there was no cause for alarm or concern but today, when I called the office for clarification, I was informed that I did indeed need to have said tooth extracted, 24 hours after being told that everything was fine.

    The psychological effects brought on by this nightmare have been devastating, same with physical. I want this dental practice to be investigated for multiple instances of malpractice that have brought me nothing but pain, misery, heartache and extreme debt.

    Called business and spoke with office manager who stated that this consumer was seen at more than one location which causes issues with billing and treatment.  The dentist that she was seeing at this location is no longer with us.  We would prefer that she continues to go to the other location.  However, as a good will gesture, we will waive all present collection fees and her account balance is $0 with us.
