Was quoted for a screen door setup for my 2 car garage July of 2023, i was told that the screen door would be installed by 9/15/2023 however would be installed much sooner / asap and would be given a lower estimate if I paid in full… my check cleared and no response from the owner for over a month who cashed it, ******. I left a few messages and he called me back stating that he was out of town on vacation and will check on my order… never called me back to follow up - weeks later I call and leave several messages and no answer on his phone, I called from a different phone number and he answered. Several messages were left with no call back. This is not how I do business.

BBB spoke with the business owner and the following was relayed: The last time I spoke to him, I told him that the date we put down is an estimate because we don't know for sure when the door is going to arrive. I'm at the mercy of the product being delivered. The screen comes from a manufacturer in Florida. I've been checking on the delivery status every other day. The manufacturer is the only one that makes garage screens. As soon as I get an update from them, I will update the customer. And as soon as the screen is delivered to me, I will complete the job.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
I was originally told that this could take up to 6 weeks in total however if I paid in full he would put the order in ASAP and it should be completed by the target date of 09/15. It’s now going on 10 weeks and no follow up and I am chasing this company down. It’s been too much of a headache and I have never experienced such horrible communication or service from a company. I have an extremely busy schedule and if I had known that this wouldn’t be done I would have never signed or paid this company.

I signed a contract with M&M Building Solutions LLC owner Gene M****** on 5/25/22. I gave him the required downpayment of $1500.00. He refused credit card payment and insisted on cash or check only. Since I had purchased this same garage door screen at my previous home, I gave him the $1500.00 on 5/25/22. Our previous screen was acceptable and I had no reason to believe that this new order would not be appropriately installed. Mr. M****** said it would take 6-8 weeks for product to arrive. In August of 2022, I called Mr. M****** to inquire what the holdup of his product was. In August he cited that it was a "supply chain problem". In September 2022, I called Mr. M****** 2-3 times. He never replied to my calls. In September 2022 I personally drove to his store on Seneca Street. He told me that the garage screen was damaged in transit. In October 2022, I personally drove to his store on Seneca Street, he was present and he told me the garage screen should be in by mid November 2022. On November 15, 2022, Mr. M****** phoned my residence and spoke to my wife, she reported that Mr. M****** informed her that the garage screen would be in and he would call to set up installation in two weeks. After the installation or phone call didn't happen, I went to M&M store in December 2022, it was closed during regular business times stated on door. In January 2023, I went to M&M store, no one was there. in January I called 2 times, no answer. In February 2023 I called again and spoke to Mr. M******. He promised installation in two weeks. On March 6, 2023, I phoned Mr. M****** he said he was having installation problems, and Mr.M****** hung up on my call. Mr. M******'s behavior has proven to be untrustworthy and his excuses have not been trustworthy and have changed over time. I believe that a total refund is in order.Business Response

We regret the uncertainty of delivery and installation of the screen. Dealing with the manufacturer coming out of Florida is very difficult. The distributor gets many conflicting responses to questions addressed to them and thus through us to the customer. The screens came through in good condition but the 16' extrusions were damaged - which too often happens because of being shipped by common carrier. I understand the plant is trying to resolve their delivery problems. The Southern States they ship in their own trucks. With 3 major snowstorms and an ice storm did not help with any installation. The screen door (4 panels) and the 16' extrusions have been reshipped and are ready for installation. Regretabley a contract cannot be cancelled on any special order with a "without recourse contract" regardless of estimated dates.Customer Answer

The seller has contacted me and has still not given me an install date (said he couldn't). He had 6 MONTHS to install before the first snow fell (install was supposed to be 6-8 WEEKS after contract was signed in May 2022). He also said he would be going bankrupt before the end of the year and I would then have no recourse. This was NOT a specialty item as he has claimed. It came straight from his catalog. Also, according to previous complaints he HAS refunded customers in the past. I just want my refund. PLEASE!

We paid $2560. to have three new windows installed in our home . They were installed on 1/19/22. On 1/20/22, the workman came back out to finish the outside window trim. Because it was the middle of winter, and we traveled to Florida for two months, we did not inspect the outside window work until early April, 2022. We discovered that the window trim was not installed correctly, the material was dimpling because the nails were not placed properly, there was no caulk installed and the color was not correct. We immediately called M & M (both office and Lee's cell phone). The salesman, Lee M****** came out to inspect it and took pictures around April 6 (date not exact). He admitted to us that the outside trim work was not acceptable and that he would talk to Gene M****** to order the correct color trim and that they would fix it. We waited and waited. No rework was commenced. We called several times, with no responses and even went to their office. When we finally talked to Gene, he had many excuses, but offered us no solution. Eight months have passed and we still have three bad window trims.Initial Complaint

I had windows installed and the contractor forgot to caulk one of the windows. I have talked to the owner who claims that it will be taken care of, but never tells me a date or time, or that "it's on the work order". I've also left numerous voice messages at the store and with my salesman, Lee. This has been going on for almost a year now. I just want the window caulked.Business Response
