I was hoping this review did not need to be written, but multiple people at this dealership let me down.I purchased a vehicle from ********************* at Fred Martin Ford in early November 2023, sight unseen and planned to have it shipped to where I live. I found the vehicle I wanted, and through him, was assured the vehicle had zero body damage, with the exception of a couple door dings. The pictures I was shown did not show any damage that I could tell. Perhaps the lighting shaded it. When I received the car, that was not the case. The right front fender had previous damage that was covered by touch up paint on both the fender and the colored fender cover that goes around the wheel well.I then got *********************** involved, new car manager at the dealership. He assured me this is not how they do business and please get an estimate of what the costs would be to fix the car at my local **** Dealership. I did that. He did not like the quote I received and began to pick at it. "They are charging like you were in an accident.". It is now January 25th, **** and we still do not have any resolution to the matter. I was assured we would get this handled amicably. We have not because ****************** has now stopped responding to my requests. The damage will cost over $2,000 to get fixed. Not such a great deal any more.Beware when dealing with managers and employees here that tell you they will help, and then do not like the answer when you present them with the information THEY requested.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of my decision appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this response.]

There has been no scheduling at this time of the repairs.  Just the estimate.  Still waiting on further details.  Once the car is repaired I will accept the offer presented.

last name is *****,  not ******.

    Regards,

Last 2 oil changes, my truck has lost 4 quarts of oil each time. The drivetrain has a 5 year warranty. My truck has ****** miles and I bought it new at **** Martin. It is a 2019 F150 King ****** Although it is covered under warranty, service wants me to pay over $60 for an oil change. I changed oil around ***** miles ago and will not pay for a warranty oil change not a maintenance oil change. I have had many issues with this truck since new.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/07/2023

    Good Morning,

************ did come to the Dealership, in the past for warranty repairs or a free oil change, the last time ************ had his oil changed at Fred Martin Ford, *** was in March of 2021.

When he arrived on September 9, 2022 he requested we preform a warranty oil consumption test, our Certified technician inspected the vehicle and recorded that the oil measurement was full, ************ verified that he has been changing the oil himself.  It was then explained to ************ that in order to properly perform oil consumption test we would need to perform an oil change, document the miles, the date, the amount of oil put into the vehicle as well as the type of filter.  He would then have to return to the dealership in ***** miles for us to measure the oil on the dipstick.

************ declined having his oil changed.  If ************ would like to come in for the oil change to begin the procedure for the oil consumption test he can make an appointment at his earliest convenience.

    Sincerely,

    *******************

    Fred Martin Ford, ***
