On or about 4-17-23 I hired A.M. Concrete to do city violation repairs, I was very specific must pass city inspection(as that was the whole reason they were being hired). They were paid $1600 however they shortcutted the work, it did not match what was on the contract, nor did it pass city inspection. On 4-27-23 Anthony from A.M. Concrete came out and established the concrete he just poured needed torn out and repoured, he said it would be an additional $700 to redo his own screwed up work (he said he could possibly start same day, if not next day 4-28-23), I reluctantly agreed because the house was under contract and I needed the violations complete in order for the sale to happen. On the evening of 4-28-23 Anthony text me that he needed $400 down for tear out, dumping fees, and one and a half yards of concrete He said it was urgent because the dump closes at noon on Saturdays. The morning of 4-29-23 (appox 8am) I sent him the $400 via Cash App. I drove by the home around 2-3pm on Saturday and nothing was done, I called Anthony, he said he used the money to get a dumpster on another one of his jobs in Bay Village, not to worry he would dump the concrete there, and we still would be moving forward as planned. On Sunday morning 4-30-23, Anthony sent me a text saying to get someo0ne else to do it he did a partial tear out and left the job is disarray, he said we could call it even on the $400. I did not agree, we are no way even, the tear out of 1 partial block is not worth $400, it actually leaves the job in worse condition than before he started. Even if that were the case he still at a minimum would owe me the one and a half yards of concrete. since then I've tried several times after to contact Anthony, no response. I would like a refund on the $1600 and the $400
