In September of 2023, I hired Anthony to paint the exterior of my house, and fix a few rotted boards on my porch.
The first day of work, he started painting without doing any prep work (like scraping the old paint).
When I asked him about it the next day, he was dismissive and said "yeah of course I'm going to do that" (but had already painted over some of the old peeling paint). In all, it took 4 days of asking multiple times before he actually did; at which point he discovered some siding that needed to be replaced. We agreed to the cost of replacing the siding, and he got rough cut, un-sanded, 2x4 planks. Not siding, just literal thick, rough, boards that didn't fit at all. I wish I could post pictures, it was so, SO bad. I was out of town and just had my boyfriend working from my house while he was there, so when I came back and saw this, I texted Anthony about it. He said he would sand it down to make it look nice?! They were totally the wrong size, did not lay flat over each other, and were already ON the house, there is absolutely no way that would work. When I insisted he get actual siding and re-do it, he ghosted me. I have not heard from him since.
He also didn't even replace the 3 measly porch boards we agreed to, but tried to fill them in with wood putty. It was laughably bad. He didn't cover the windows or put down tarps when painting, so there's overspray on all the windows and the front porch.
He did not do one single thing he was hired to do, made off with a bunch of money, and left the place in worse shape; I then had to spend twice as much hiring someone to fix it, and since we were at that point well into late fall/early winter, the painting, the impetus of this whole fiasco, STILL is not done, and will require even more money to complete. He left all his crap on my lawn that ruined the grass and needed a dumpster to remove. I am leaving out a lot of details for brevity.
DO NOT, FOR ANY REASON, HIRE THIS CLOWN
