In April f last year I hired All American Gutter to replace the gutters on my home. They came out, were here for less than a day and put up seamless gutters (without a drip edge) and although they promised to replace a damaged gutter board they found a piece of old wood that they neglected to attach to the roof rafters. My gutters don't just leak, they gush. I then hired *** ****** **** to put leaf guards on the gutters. They promised to fix the prior problem while they were putting on the leaf guards and did send another crew. To no avail. Not knowing where to start, I called about All American Gutter, complained and filed a complaint with the BBB. They called, were very apologetic, (needed me to remove the complaint) and sent someone out to repair the problems. They came out, told me that the issue had been resolved but the problem became worse. Pictures attached. Not knowing who to trust I hired a third company.

All American Gutter Protection was hired to install 180 ft of 5-inch gutters on the second story only, reusing downspouts, and adding 76 ft of gutter protection on the front porch and garage. The installation was completed on April 11, 2023, with no fascia board replacement needed and no drip edge installed, which ****** acknowledged by signing the completion paperwork.

On June 21, 2023, ****** reported drainage issues. We found clogged downspouts, which we cleaned free of charge, despite gutter cleaning not being covered by warranty.

On October 8, 2024, ****** filed a BBB complaint, stating he needed 6-inch gutters and alleging leaks, rotten fascia, and missing drip edge. We clarified that:
      - The contract was for 5-inch gutters, matching the previous system.
      - The fascia was in good condition at installation.
      - ****** had signed off acknowledging no drip edge.

On October 9, 2024, we re-inspected the property and found clogged gutters and downspouts again. We emphasized the importance of regular cleaning (2–3 times/year) and reiterated that:
      - Drip edge is not standard in all installs
      - The roof pitch and original gutter size did not require 6-inch gutters
      - No signs of rotten fascia were present—only paint chipping, likely from water overflow

On October 14, 2024, we offered a quote for drip edge installation and additional gutter protection. By October 21, 2024, ****** informed the BBB he was satisfied and wanted to withdraw the complaint.

However, ****** has now filed another BBB complaint, though he had not followed up or approved any additional services since October. We would like to point out:
      - The labor warranty expired after one year
      - The homeowner was informed no drip edge was included
      - Rotten fascia repair was never contracted
      - The homeowner has not reported new issues or requested service

We maintain that the gutters were installed correctly and as contracted, any issues stemmed from lack of maintenance.

signed quote for gutters. charge was $1820 total for 35 ft. of gutters, downspout, and leaf guard for an average of $52 per Sq. foot. They installed 26 total. NOT what was quoted and the downspout in the wrong place! I contacted salesman (John) and explained. he said he was going to tell supervisor. did not hear from anyone in a week so I called John again. he was surprised no one contacted me (I wasn't) he called me back saying a check was in the mail. a week later I receive a check in the mail for $315. I immediately call Jon and he was just as frustrated as me. He said manager would contact me. talked with regional manager (Kevin) and he told me that they refunded me 32 per square foot. he said that I got downspout (which was included in original quote! the downspout is included in the $52 per square foot! he said that the materials did not cost as much for the gutters square footage that was left out! this is unacceptable! This is bad business practices and I wonder how many other people they try and take advantage of by not installing what was quoted! This is a local company which you would think would be on top of their game. either they are corrupt or seriously incompetent! I want the money that is owed me.

I ran into a representative from All American Gutter at a home show. I requested a free quote for gutter guards and received a call to set up a quote. The sales rep came out and did an assessment. After inviting the salesman inside to go over the quote, we sat down and discussed services. Despite the salesman frequently belching and discussing his breakfast with me, I heard him out. The salesman harped about the lifetime warranty and an A+ BBB rating, and offered a substantial discount for making the purchase same day. I decided to take advantage of the discount and move forward. Installation was scheduled for 5/6/24, but I was never given any time frame for arrival. This was very inconvenient because I had to wake up early to wait on their arrival despite having to work later overnight. I did not receive any call or update and the installer eventually arrived. I was shocked to see only one installer for such a large job. The installer "completed" the work in under 3 hours, which is usually how long it takes just to clean the gutters. The installer used an unprotected ladder on my roof, left debris all over my yard, and used a playset in my yard as a sawhorse, which leads me to believe the product wasn't cut with high quality. I was supposed to receive a leaf blower attachment to clean corner spots, and when I asked the installer about this, he became extremely irate towards me and acted like I was accusing him of not cleaning the gutters. I have a hard time believing a quality job was done in 3 hours by one person. I called within a few days to file a complaint and was promised a callback. Ive received no callback, and no leaf blower attachment now almost 2 months later. I also observed some sort of screw that had fallen from the top portion of my roof which likely came from this product. I have pets in my yard and dont need hardware falling into the yard. I just recently received warranty info and I was very mislead on the warranty. I am extremely disappointed.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I filed a BBB complaint on 06/28/24 after originally calling the company to express my complaints on 05/13/24 and never getting a callback. On 07/10/24, I finally got a callback from the business vice president. Based on his response on the BBB website and initial tone on the phone, I was hopefully I would receive some actual customer service. Unfortunately, I was at work when I received this call and I was unable to speak. I requested we speak on 07/12/2024 when I would be available. I was told that would work. On 07/12/24, I never received a callback. I made the call myself, received no answer, and left a voicemail.
On 07/19/2024, I called the vice president again after not hearing back after our scheduled call that was disregarded and never receiving a returned call after leaving a voicemail.

While on the phone with the vice president, he was extremely argumentative. He went through every portion of my complaint and attempted to deflect all complaints. With the issue of 1 installer, he told me it was normal to only send 1 person on installation jobs. Then why did the salesman repeatedly tell me about the "team" that would be at my house, including someone specifically for quality control (which did not happen)? Then the vice president had the audacity to try to argue that using a bear metal unprotected ladder on a roof is "extremely unlikely to cause damage, although there should've been rags or rubber for protection". Well, if there should've been rags or rubber for protection, isn't that because it would have been likely to cause damage otherwise? I've spoken with numerous contractors and roofers and showed them the photo I provided of the bear metal on my roof and they all cringed.

The vice president continued arguing everything with me, offering no apology and initially no solutions, to the point where I absolutely lost my cool and became extremely angry on the phone (I will gladly admit this part) as I have never received such poor service in my life. My anger upset the vice president, which is understandable, however, how does he think I felt when the installer gave me attitude and got loud with me when I asked for a product that was a part of my purchase (leaf blower attachment, which to this date I still haven't received) When I expressed my disappointment with never even getting a call back, and the response was "I have 1500 customers a week to speak to", again offering no apology. When I expressed my anger about the loose screws that keep falling from my roof, I was told it was "impossible" for any of the screws used in the work to come out, and the installer must've dropped screws on the roof. Again, no apology, just unnecessary excuses.

I explained I want someone to come inspect the work to ensure no more screws end up in my yard and no screws are missing from installed pieces. He eventually offered to send someone out to clean the debris that had been left in my yard over two months ago which I have obviously already cleaned by now. He then stated I would get a callback to schedule someone coming out to inspect the work. It has now again been over a week and I have received no call. At this point, I don't want anyone to come anyways, as I do not trust they would honestly assess the work.

I paid nearly $6200 for this job to be done. This is not a small amount of money, and I expected some level of care and professionalism. I was willing to maybe look past the fact that they sent an unprofessional installer out had they shown any remorse or care at all, however the company's true colors have shown from the sales pitch to the end. I view the warranty as pointless and worthless at this point as I expect absolutely no assistance in the future if I need to make a warranty claim. I strongly recommend people stay away from this company.

      Regards,

      ******* *****

      Good afternoon,

although we are moving in the right direction, we still are not quite complete. I spoke with management last week and expressed additional concerns regarding the second installer openly telling me he was going against company procedures. I was told someone would be sent out to take another look. As of today, I just received a call earlier from Bryan who has scheduled another visit this upcoming friday. Hopefully all issues will be resolved as of this friday.

I was also promised a partial refund a while back from the former VP after he came to my house and inspected the first job done. While I understand Mike the former VP is no longer with the company, I am still expecting some sort of partial refund as promised. He informed me of this both on the phone and in person.

I do appreciate the company attempting to make things right as I was initially highly dissapointed and upset with the customer service. I hope we reach resolution.

All American Gutter Protection installed new gutters on my home in 2019. Upon the first rain, I notice one section of the new gutters was leaking. Further inspection identified that the section of gutter had been pieced together. With a busy life I contacted them in 2020. A service person came but said he didn’t have what was needed to replace the pieced together section. I contacted them again in 2021 and the same thing happened, service person said he didn’t have what was needed to replace gutter section. At that point I just gave up. In 2024, I retired so I have more time to deal with things so I called them again. Now they tell me the gutters have a one year warranty and I would have to pay to have the gutter replaced.

I purchased gutters and gutter guard from this company 6/2020 with a lifetime warranty. Recently my gutters were overflowing so I contacted All American. They informed me that the gutters must have debris on them. This is not covered according to Customer Service ******. They would service this issue at the rate of $75 an hour. I contacted an independent individual for an estimate to remedy. When they got up to check the gutters there was NO gutter guard. I have contacted All American several tells and left message on both email and phone with no response. I paid for gutters in 3 areas gutter guard for the entire house. This issue needs to be corrected The 3 gutters are now clogged and overflowing because they do not have gutter guard. These gutters need cleaned out, one has a tear that needs replaced and gutter guard installed. I am a 77 year lady who purchased this in good faith and now the company is ignoring me. I would appreciate your assistance Thank you

After the initial install of the gutters we had to have them come back out and fix a couple of issues. The gutters downspouts were installed incorrectly and they did not install the proper amount of splash guards When they came back out they fixed one downspout, didn’t correct the other downspout and didn’t install the missing splash guards. I have called and texted **** the head of customer service multiple times, he has ignored by attempts or lied to my face since the end March. The last time I spoke to him was May 2nd he informed me that someone would be out the next day, it’s a week later and no one has shown up or even contacted me. I called customer service on Friday May 3 after no one showed up spoke to ***** she said she would contact the owner for them to contact me and no one had. I paid for services and have not received a completed service.

The date of the transaction was November 19th & 20th, 2023. I had gutters installed on my home. I paid $5, 800.00. All American Gutter Protection business said that I had a lifetime home warranty on the gutters. Two weeks (December 4, 2023) after the gutters were installed, I noticed the right gutter was leaking water at the downspout at the seams and I notified the company. I sent pictures of the gutter where the leakage was located. Mike the Install Manager contacted me on December 8, 2023 to tell me that he did not have a schedule date for the gutter to be repaired but he would contact me the following week with the information regarding a schedule date for repair of the gutter. The week of December 11th, I noticed that two more gutters were leaking at the downspout at the seams and I notified the company of the other two gutters. I sent pictures of the additional 2 gutters where the leakage was located. Mike did not contact me at all the week of December 11, 2023, with a schedule date for repair of the three gutters that have leakage problems. I have sent numerous emails to this company asking when Mike the Install Manager would be contacting me with a schedule date for repair with no avail. This company refuses to repair my gutters and honor the company's warranty. This is the 3rd week since I have contacted the company regarding the leaking of the gutters.

We apologize if you feel that our service department is not getting this done in a timely manner for you.  We do have records that we have communicated with you about having to hold off on resealing the leaks until we get warmer weather conditions. With the sealant that is used on gutters sometimes it may not adhere the first time and we have tried to previously fix this issue but had no luck due to the cold. AAGP will absolutely honor our warranty and set a day and time to come reseal and leaking gutters as soon as we get a break in the weather.  We appreciate you understanding and as we stated above the VP of Customer Service has gone over this with you himself.

Once again thank you for your patience and we will get this handled right away, weather permitting.

AAGP absolutely does and will honor the opened service work order we have with the customer.  The DET manager will be calling today to get this rescheduled and make sure the crew follows through with completing the service work needed.  The VP of Service will also follow up as this issue has been escalated to him to make sure the matter gets resolved.

      Thank you,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  The DET manager called me on May 8, 2024 to schedule an appointment to repair my gutters.  We scheduled the date for Tuesday, May 14, 2024 between the hours of 8am -10am. I asked the DET manager  to send me an email to confirm the appointment and I have not received an email confirming the appointment to date.  I hope that AAGP will repair my gutters as promised this time around.

I ordered gutter protection from this company In September of this year, the gutters were installed September 21, 2023. The work scope on the contract (Job Number *******) stated that the company would "Add Christmas Light Hangers on Front of Home). When the gutter work was complete the installer said that they did not have the hooks with them and would have to come back to install them. My husband and I have been calling this company, first weekly, and I have been calling them almost daily for 3 weeks. I have been calling the company at 888-737-0380 and texting and calling the person who supposedly will be installing these. Hooks were to be shipped (in an expedited manner) on November 27th, after the installer was supposed to be at my hoe on November 23rd or 24th. The text on the 27th of November said that they would be installed in 3 to 5 days. Last Wednesday, I was told (again) that they would be received "either today or tomorrow" When I asked for another update, the installer said that he would call me on Friday the 8th. Still waiting. Now when I call the 800 service number, they tell me that they will escalate the problem, but nothing happens. I would just really like to be able to hang up my dang Christmas lights after 4 months of follow up on our part. If I had known this was going to be such a problem, I would not have given them the 2nd half check until the job was complete.

      Better Business Bureau:

One of the Vice President's from the Ohio office reached out, ordered hooks and had them sent to my house and got my local business to install the hooks. Unfortunately, these were not installed until 3 days before Christmas. At least I have them for next year.

Paint coming off the back of house from run off during heavy rains requiring me to have to repaint my house. Having been told by corporate that maybe 150.00 could be refunded back to me. And that flashing not being wrapped properly.

AAGP has been in direct communication with Mrs. ***** and the VP of Installation made a 4 hour drive to her home to handle the situation personally as the Install Manager was not handling it in a timely manner.  The VP of Installation has not closed out this issue and is handling directly as Mrs. ***** is aware.  We agreed to put 6" gutters on her home and offered to add fascia board at cost for $360.  She had an existing crack that was patched prior to AAGP doing any work on the home.. during the fascia board installation the crack reopened.  This can be seen in the original sales pics.  As a show of good faith AAGP offered to give back the $360 she paid for the fascia board so she could get someone out to repair the wall and Mrs. ***** has all this info.  Once this was resolved and she had a receipt for the completed work AAGP will release the check along with a release for Mrs. Knuaf to sign.  Also, during my reply Mrs. ***** called in stating she cancelled the complaint to the BBB and is sending *** proof of the completed work.
