improperly installed gutter protection verified by roof shingle installer rep, all american gutter protection inspector and my insurance company inspector. all 3 inspection sources say gutter guards were improperly installed and misdirecting water flow into gutters. visible water damage confirmed by all inspectors at an upstairs bdroom ceiling/wall location. a number of contacts with all american gutter protection since 10/4/2022 have resulted in no follow-up response for resolution. yesterday afternoon., vp of installation, bob, did call from *************Business Response

Here are the pictures I took yesterday. There are 2 on the inside of the bedroom with some minor cracks in the ceiling where the drywall tape is in the corner.
In addition to that, these pictures show no debris blocking the screens in any point around that location. I took pics under the shingles and here is what I found
There is a drip edge under the roof
There is ICE and Water shield under the roof
There is a fascia board and wrap behind the gutters and in the direct location of the leak that is getting blamed on a project installed in 2016 and customer confirming with me that since 2016 he has not had a previous issue with the gutter guards.
Finally, a side view showing the drip edge, and the fascia wrap.
Water cannot travel down the shingle and then under and back up far enough to get past the ice and water shield which is at least 3' up the roof decking. It is my conclusion that the water is coming from another location and All American is NOT responsible for the leak on this bedroom area.

Thanks for calling and following up about ******* ****** Below was my offer to settle this amicably due to the difference of opinions between All American Gutter Protection and the Insurance company. We have clean gutters on the home and the installation is perfect. The insurance company is claiming that the gutters are at a 5 degree negative pitch and this is not the caseThe gutter protection that we installed is not the cause of the water leaking alleged by Mr. ***** in the upstairs bedroom. My professional opinion is that is a roofing issue under the shingles and the insurance company diverting its responsibility to represent the coverage needed for Mr. *****.If you need anything further from me, please contact me below. In response to your concern with the gutter protection installed and the alleged damage you are claiming, I wanted to respond back to you on this issue. After an inspection on my part vs. the insurance inspection from **********, we seem to be at an impasse based on my knowledge of 20+ years in this industry. The insurance company claiming that your gutters are installed at a 5-degree negative pitch is not an accurate claim at all.
Due to the stalemate, we are at, our company is willing to offer you back $200.00 of the amount requested of $809.56. Should you choose to accept this settlement on good customer service from All American Gutter protection, the company will need a release signed for the final payment which will not be pursued anytime in the future.
Please get back at your earliest convenience so we can close this matter out. I appreciate your patience while we worked this out.

On 06/18/22 I was given an estimate of the gutter repair. I agreed to the price and proceeded to finanace through **** **** ******** ****** ************ I scheduled a date and time for contractor to come out to do the job for 06/20/22. On this date no one came out and no one called with a reason why. After a week a called the company to reschedule. At that time I was told the someone would reach out to reschedule. After another week I heard nothing. I called again and explained my situation. I was told this complaint would be addressed with management. After placing 3 different calls with no results I gave up. Sometime in Aug. I received I call asking to reschedule. I set a date to have work completed. And again was rescheduled. Finally when the guys came out and did the work they left the old gutters in my backyard which I had to remove. The gutters are still leaking in one area worse than before. I sent a video of this and was told a crew would be out that week. No one came out. No one called. After another week I called and left a message and has told someone would contact me. Still today no one has called or come out. This is very bad customer service and I am highly disappointed. I feel like every time I call I get no where especially now that they have the money.Business Response

We have been out there twice to repair the job. It is our understanding that it is now repaired. I don't think the homeowner was aware of the latest repair, which was communicated with her ex-husband. We are sorry about that. A company by the name of All American Gutter Protection ***** **** ***** ********* ** ***** ************ *s using your company name on their website; which leads to people like me to believe they are a good reputable company. Please note that your company did not do anything wrong and I did not locate them from your site. This company's installer dumped all kinds of metal garbage in my newer gutter, which stopped it from draining. I'm a handy capped person who new something was wrong and got on a ladder to see this mess and had to clear it out myself. Also, they dropped a bunch of sharp screws behind both my wife's car and mine on a side of the house that no work was being done. I have called them for a month straight and they keep saying that the VP will call me back with a resolution and nothing has been done. I purchased my gutters around this time last year. Since then, I have had to have them come out to fix the missing gutters and fix the gutters not being flush to the house. I have just called them again today to schedule another visit because it is now raining heavily and can see that the gutters are not flush with the fascia again! Also, I was told by the area manager for Jacksonville, FL Jeff, that he offered a referral program (I have a text from him, see attached texts and his phone info). I have contact him and am now being ignored now that my friend has purchased the gutters from them. I contacted their main office who stated they would reach out to Jeff. NOTHING. I called again the next day and they remembered me and said they would have Jeff's boss contact me. NOTHING. At this point, I feel like a fool for even recommending them because of the horrible job their contractors have done and for the horrible customer experience I am getting when I AM BRINGING THEM BUSINESS!Business Response

As far as the referral, his friend filled out an online request for an estimate which is not through our referral program. Therefore he was not eligible. As you can see in the text message from confirmed sales manager (attached), those details were indicated and on the contrary , he confirms and says “Yes we do. To our customers that refer others to us. If you can text me their info I can make sure you get a referral fee”. I actually don’t even feel that anything else other than the promise that was made should close this out by the BBB because it’s right there in black and white. If not I am more than willing to continue rejecting these responses until this goes into arbitration.I do though want to thank you for the last installer who came to fix the gutters (correctly). Seems he was honest enough to tell me the first installation and the second call out installers failed to install a tin behind the gutter that directs the water off the facia and into the gutter. I guess third times a charm.

We did not ever say we do not do referral fees. We said he contacted us through a paid online source which is different than referrals. This was not the first interaction however, as I checked the dates from your text and our calls. The first contact was from Jeff to your friend, so you are correct. After digging into this, Jeff dropped the ball on this and did not let the office know he called this customer. Maybe he was too busy to recall, but it's no excuse. He should have turned this in as a referral right away so you could get paid your referral fee. I am sorry for his lack of communication, the texts prove that he screwed that up by not responding and leaving you in the dark. Unfortunately on our end, we could only go by what Jeff said until we got all the details. I am confirming you do get a referral fee and it is being mailed out to you. I do thank you for bringing this to our attention as we do not want Jeff to treat any customer the way he treated you: especially customers who are willing to refer others. I have turned this complaint in to Jeffs Manager for him to take care of on our end because it's quite embarrassing and unacceptable for any of our workers to not communicate back to customers.Initial Complaint

I had gutter guards installed in Nov. 2021 only to find out in June of this year that I do not have guards on all my gutters When job was completed I paid them $2,170.00. My contract states guards to be installed on whole house. They were not installed on whole house. The gutter on the right side of my house does not have guards and I am wondering if he even installed them on the gutter at the front of my house up at the house roof (2 story home) They keep giving me the run around. They tell me they are coming a certain day and will call the day before. Never come , Never call. Been told that about 3 times. Also been told with the prices of gas, etc. they don't know when they will come. Maybe wait till they have a crew in the area. Was told they had a crew in the area Fri. July 1,2022 and they would come here and resolve the problem. They never showed up and when I called the manager that evening he didn't even answer his phone. The events leading up to today are completely mischaracterized.
Our manager himself went out to the house and talk to her about the situation. She did not let him know until he was there that she had an issue with the second story gutter. Since he was already there he did not have a ladder with him. He explained the issue that he observed. Told her that since everything was functioning properly when we have a crew in the area we would take a look.
Mrs ****** has been extremely rude and belligerent when we have called. Literally yelling and cursing at our manager, VP, and call center. We have told her our crew was going out to that area last Thursday. They had to reschedule that job until this Thursday. They are going to stop by and look at the job this Thursday.
She is convinced that there is an issue, even though by her own accord the second floor gutters are working properly.There is zero evidence that the second floor protection is missing. But again, we have told her our crew will look at it. We are not giving her the runaround as we have communicated this with her.
Unfortunately, Mrs ****** has been so volatile that it makes it hard to speak to her.
She is on the schedule for this coming Thursday, weather permitting.
