      We were long time customers of *******************************************************. When ** Drycleaners replaced them, apparently our old account and phone number automatically established a new account under our old home phone #. We were given a bag. The old account was in my wife's name. She passed away in January 2024. I established a new account with ** Drycleaners in the Summer of 2024 and put it under my cell phone and my name. I was emailed a 20% off drycleaning coupon and took it in and actually had someone up front show me how it worked. They activated it. I dropped of a lot of drycleaning - much of it was my wife's that I was getting ready to give to family. When I picked it up and paid I asked why the 20% discount was not applied. I was informed that it applied to my current phone # and account, but the drycleaning was charged to our old account that was under my wife's name. I told them I had no idea what was going on and asked them to change the drycleaning to my name and apply the discount.I was told this COULD NOT BE DONE. The coupons are applied when the order is dropped off and they aren't going to change it. I get that places get busy and there were customers coming in and I did not want to be difficult and cause a scene. We are talking about a $15 - $20 coupon credit. ($86 total)09-013510 ($44.************ ($30.************ ($11.49)To me, businesses should extend consideration when circumstances are legitimate and a customer has no way of knowing why something was done (the old account was used due to the bag that was brought in) when a new account should have been used. Shouldn't the customer be extended the benefit of the doubt in a case like this? I don't think I should leave phone #'s and email addresses, but if they are needed my phone number that I did put the ** Drycleaners account I set up (and received a coupon under) is ****

      I appreciate that TJD actually emailed me that they had applied a credit the same day I entered this compalint.I also received a phone call from their owner the following day wanting to understand the issue better, and he agreed that I should have been advised that they would look into seeing if the coupon could have been applied. If I had received this I would have never made a complaint.I have not had any quality or service issues with them, and their workers are friendly and courteous. Based on the concerns shown by management, I would not want my complaint to change anyones perception of their business.
