      I received my electric bill in December and my bill went from $95.00 to $288.00, I called and they have been billing me as a business and not residential for 2 years. I have talked to **** near every customer service rep and no one can help me.I finally spoke to a supervisor/Christina and she basically told me they would not give me a credit on my account, even though it was their mistake. I hate that I have to havethemfor my electric provider, they are horrible and the customer service *****

      I received a letter Dec. 24, 2024, stating that we had successfully enrolled in a Electric Customer Choice program (*** Retail Solutions) that would become effective Jan 24,2025. The letter also stated if I want to opt out, I will have to do so by Dec. 20, 2024. The thing is I never opted to enroll in this program. I called Duke and was told that letters had been sent out concerning this enrollment, which I never received. Duke is using fraudulent practices. I went through this same thing in August, saying I had enrolled with another supplier (*** Energy Inc) which I hadn't. Is there any Civil Lawsuits concerning Duke Energy??? I hate that I have to give a star, when one isn't deserved.

      They take forever restoring electricity when it is out. We been out for 16 hours and no updates. They send our workers to other states knowing we need them ... By them waiting this long to fix the issues we are loosing animals fish, and our frozen food without them having any reprocussions for being negligent and not having enough workers. I have also had my billed messed up for 3 months and they still have not fixed it. My bill will say I owe 0.00 and I will have a confirmation number of payment and the. 2 days later it says I owe more. They have my outside lighting and electrical bill as 2 different bills and haven't combined them so when I pay I have to pay 2 processing fees, I have been fighting this for 3 months and still isn't taken care of.

      We have lived in our house for five years and have experienced at least 12-15 power outages lasting an hour or longer. Duke Energy's service is the worst and highly unreliable. Each time there is a power outage, it disrupts our daily life and causes significant inconvenience. Customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful, offering little to no explanation or support. The infrastructure seems outdated and poorly maintained. It's frustrating to pay high rates for such unreliable service. I wish there were alternatives because I would switch immediately. Duke Energy needs to seriously improve their reliability and customer service.

      I purchased an inside wiring protection plan from Duke Energy a long time ago.I pay monthly premiums.I never tried to use this plan until I needed a circuit breaker box installed. Dukes protection plan offered no other help than a 15 percent discount.The fine print in this plan shows that it actually has very little value.It certainly wasn't worth what I have been paying every month.Duke Energy heavily markets this plan to customers.It's not worth buying.

      Terrible. I have been on the phone with them for almost 2 hours, cycled through every department they have, transferred to the incorrect department multiple times, and even hung up on. No one can help me get service started at my apartment because of a flag on the address from the previous occupant. None of these people know what they are doing. I cannot even understand some of the representatives. It would be great if they had a local office to visit when issues are too complex to be solved by phone operators from who knows where that cannot even seem to transfer me to the correct department.

      Customer service line is terrible! Called to get my usage explained and possibly the meter checked. First person I got on the phone said that something did look weird but he needed to send me to a supervisor to get it checked. The supervisor spent 30 minutes explaining multiple times how billing works despite telling them that I was not calling about billing. Got a ticket opened and was told I would be getting a call back. I did not and called back a week later to get told the ticket was labeled as a billing issue and was closed.

      I've tried to get my bill corrected five times and its still not right. Ive talked to five and employees and several managers about error on my bill. I its been a year and I cant talk to anyone that can help me. They say its taken care of but these errors come out on my bill every month. You cannot talk to a physical person. Its a problem getting any thing straight with them. They keep signing me up with these services and I keep telling them I dont want a new supplier and they keep putting it on my bill.
