The HVAC specialist who came for air conditioning tune-up was knowlegdeable, skilled and detail oriented. He made good suggestions that will help me save money in the future.The reason that I gave the company a 4 instead of a 5 is that I think they are expensive. However, they communicate well and are responsive.

We have had our HVAC serviced by Schneller Knochelmann for 3 years. The maintenance plan affords us 2 tune ups /year- Spring & Fall. Another benefit is provision of emergency service. Last week our AC unit stopped working- it was a 90degree day. We placed an emergency call to the 24/7 service line. Within an hour a technician was at our home & he quickly diagnosed the problem. After communicating with my husband & I regarding options/ plan, he replaced the failed part with supplies from his truck. The technician ***** **** was professional, efficient & communicated clearly We were very pleased when our AC was working in about 30min. Overall, we have had very good experiences with SK. We had an issue with our new AC unit. It took awhile but Schneller and Knochelmann was very responsive evaluating and resolving the issue. **** did a great job providing the final system calibration and getting the AC unit running well. ****** ******* and ***** ******* did an excellent job working tirelessly for hours fixing a leaky drain in my 70 year old tub then cleaned and mopped up all the water. My technician was ***** ****** who found the issue that caused my AC to go out before the official diagnostic had even begun. I was so grateful and I decided to go ahead and do the diagnostic since I was in my warranty period. He found that it was low on refrigerant and told me in would be two fifty a pound and I agreed to have him top it off. Once he was checking me out I explained that Im a first time home owner and I didnt realize that he meant two hundred and fifty dollars, my experience on refilling fluids in my car being the only point of reference I had. He continued checking me out and at the end seemed to have a sense of regret about the confusion, he even said he was worried that I might not have known, but then he shrugged it off. In general the service was good, and Id chalk it all up to a misunderstanding, but as he was leaving he told me that there were no leaks in my line. He said that meant that when the unit was initially installed it had been low on refrigerant. Schneller Knochelmann was the company my unit was purchased from- the one that installed it, if it was low on refrigerant when it was installed they were at fault for that. I cant recommend them because I dont believe that they should have charged me for the refrigerant if they installed the unit with less than it needed to function properly. If they reach out to amend this I will update my review to reflect that.Schneller Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air
