Zimmer worked on my ***** Mini Splits Air Conditioner heads for frozen units May 30 2024. I was told their work was guaranteed for 30 days. I paid $1025.00. The heads were frozen again in 2 weeks. Zimmer tech communicated with ***** tech to diagnose the problem. A new circuit board was ordered. This part was under warranty since I had the ***** system installed new June 1 2023. The new circuit board takes 2 weeks to arrive and gets installed August 6 2024. That bill was $2200.00. I deducted the previous repair fail amount of 1025.00 and paid $1175.00. The owner, Chris, called me, threatened me, said he was going to have his techs remove the new circuit board. I asked him if I needed to call the police and he said "go ahead". The techs had already left with my check so I was scared, I live alone, and did call the Police. The Policeman came to my house, called Zimmer, Spoke with the owner Chris, who told the Policeman that Zimmer was severing all ties with me and I should never call them again because they would never help me again. The Policeman assured me I had nothing to fear because if they came back to remove the new part it would constitute a felony on their part. And 2 days later, on August 8 2024 the AC heads were frozen again. I called ***** for recommendations for ********* experts near me, called the new company, they did the repair on Friday, the next day, and the 2 ********* AC heads have continued to work well ever since. I was afraid to call Zimmer about their repair failing again but I don't feel like they deserve my $1175.00 for work that did not fix my AC problem.

    Dear *** ********,

Can you clarify what are you solely seeking from the business to address your issues? Thank you

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

My request is to have my $1175.00 dollars returned to me because the work of putting in the new circuit board, which you wanted $2200.00 for, did not last even 48 hours. So the work that is guaranteed for 30 days failed after 48 hours. And I paid you $1025.00 less because the first repair failed after 2 weeks that I had paid $1025.00 for in good faith that Zimmer knew what they were doing.  No work done by Zimmer fixed my AC problem.  And since the Zimmer owner had threatened me and told me never to call them again because they would not come help me again, I got a referral to another company, from *****, who came out and fixed the problem.  The AC has been working ever since. Zimmer probably does good work on regular heat and air conditioning systems but they clearly do not know ***** mini split systems.  Nothing they worked on for me helped. Nothing. They should not have charged me anything. They clearly do not know how to work on mini splits.   And Zimmer's response was not a response, but a question asking what I wanted specifically. That would be my refund of $1175.00.  Thank you. ******** ********

Good Morning *******, Let’s get this put to bed. If she would like a credit for the other company's service call, we will gladly send her a check for the $264. As for the whole process we have not returned, nor will we return any of the service charges. We followed ***** guidelines per their recommendations. She was not charged for any ***** parts. Let us know if this will suffice and we'll get this settled.

    Best Regards,

    Dan

The only acceptable resolution will be for Zimmer to refund me all the money they stole from me for doing work they guaranteed on my AC unit, which did not result in my AC working.  I was left in a heatwave with no AC. What kind of a company considers this ethical?  The ZIMMER COMPANY is not to be trusted. They are incompetent, and I hope no one else has to suffer like I have. Sincerely, ********
