      Worst experience dealing with Cincinnati children’s Perinatal Institute!! My daughter participated in the Early Prediction Study since she was born(preterm). I didn’t have an issue up until they contacted me now that she is 5 years old, to do another part of the study. I moved in August of 2023 to *********OH. I was reluctant to do the study due to the time it would take to complete the study and traveling to Cincinnati. However they were accommodating, I was told that they would cover hotel costs, mileage reimbursement and payment for the study. The day of the study comes and I have my other child with me for 4 hours while the study is completed(toddler 3 years old). I signed a form for a virtual debit card that would be emailed to me for the mileage reimbursement. From a week 10/13/24 I called to followed up. It wasn’t until 11/19/24 that I found out that, instead of a virtual debit card a check was mailed to my address on 11/6/24Thank god I was at the place at the right time as I happen to catch the mailman to open my mailbox. I call the contact I had(Mary D*****)to make sure the check wasn’t voided, which she informed me that she was told from the accounting team could not void the check. I did a mobile check deposit into my back and paid $4.95 to have it immediately in my account. 11/21/24 I get a text from Mary stating that the accounting team told her that the check was voided on 11/19/24,I immediately call Mary to get clarification. I call my bank to ask them what will happen to my account for a bounced check.my account will be deducted and could get flagged for suspicious activity, resulting in possibly my account on a hold and not being able to access my funds/or pay bills. Dr. ****** informed that pretty much I am out of luck as they sent another check out which I was not aware off . This have been the most draining and stressful experience that was so simple from the start!! DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY STUDIES. Communication is absolutely HORRENDOUS!
