Bought **** ***** ****** ******** * ***** travel trailer VIN ***************** from Blue Compass Rv in Indianapolis on July 20, 2023. It was a lemon and they pro.ised better so we bought **** ***** ****** ******** * ***** VIN ***************** on March 16.2024. We should have a full refund over $5000. They kept saying they did not have title. I think August they stated yes they have it and would start the refund d. I have the email showing g I sent paper work for refund on March 18, 2024. The staff keeps changing, they won't return my calls once I tell them why I am calling. The newest office manager that has been there for 2 months states after 120 says, I dont get my money. I sent her email showing that I signed the forms as Jamie asked. Finance person at the time. He was to fill everything else out. I can provide my documents of purchase if needed.Initial Complaint

I purchased a new rv on 8/29/24 I unit was not checked out before delivery to me . Has many repair issues , slide does not stay locked in while driving, tv system not installed properly drivers armrest was broken. The control panel was not operating that shows water levels, propane, etc. the engine is a diesel engine and requires death fluid when you try to put the death fluid in it spills everywhere because the line is horizontal and needs to be on a downward angle, I bought the unit before Labor Day weekend and they told me to drive it home because we had traded our unit in and had no way to get back home and they would come and get it and redo the repairs on the TV. We did not know about all the other issues. No one contacted me so I drove back down to Them and dropped it off , they said they would get it fixed and get it back to me quickly because we had a camping trip coming in 10 days. They brought the unit back to me with none of the repairs done at all. They’ve now had my unit for three weeks and we have a brand new motorhome with all these issues .Initial Complaint

I would like to let people know what can happen to you when you think you are buying from a reputable company. On July 5, 2023 we purchased a **** ***** ******* *** toy hauler from Colerain Family RV/Blue Compass RV and found problems with it before we left their lot. They tried to fix them and told us to take it to our local dealer and they would take care of it. We arrived home that evening. The slide out would not come out. Started looking under the camper and the RUST and CORROSION were terrible. We found 33 serious problems, including the wall separating from the floor, hole under slide out large enough for a rat to run through. On the way home we had to stop five different times to close the right rear door. It was locked but still came open. The tires on the camper were built in 2021 NOT in 2023. The tire has a flat spot on it where apparently someone has locked up the brakes and skidded the tire. The frame and underneath side is VERY VERY RUSTY. We called the dealership where we bought it from the following morning and told Greg, their GM, that we do not want this camper. It is very defective. With all the problems, Greg told us we looked at it and it's our camper. Greg told us Jayco buys their frames in bulk and they sit outside and you will expect rust on them. Same way with tires. They buy them in bulk and it may be a couple years old when they get installed on a new trailer. This is NOT a NEW trailer!! This is a defective trailer, that we paid $80,843.00 for this trailer. They said they would buy it back for $55,000.00. Our complaint was only one day old. Now it's been close to two months and we haven't seen this trailer. It is sitting at one of the dealerships. They are going to spray paint underneath of it to cover up the rust. The hydraulic lines are so corroded at the fittings and the left side basement door is hanging loose. Many other problems. 6/24/23 Purchased **** ***** ****** ********** *** *** ***** ***** Camper.
On 7/6/23 We discovered the unit was leaking water in the bathroom from a cracked Skylight
We Followed Grand Design's Instructions after we called and returned the rv to the dealership on 7/12/23. The dealer took off the roofing material and all components from the roof and discovered that the roof structure had extensive damage and possible mold issues, rotted wood, I was told by ***** ****** that the dealer had this unit on the lot for approximately 9 months. Also ***** ****** told me that the Dealership received a bulletin from them in October of 2022 about defective skylights. Apparently they did not check this because the shape the wood is in its been leaking for a while. I didn't notice anything wrong until it rained after we bought the unit. As of 8/11/23 the Dealership still has the unit and was instructed by ***** ****** to put everything back together so they can pick it up and take it back to the factory in northern Indiana. As of 8/11/23 No schedule has been given to me when this will occur the dealer informed me it will take a week for them to put everything back together to prepare it to ship back to the factory as of 8/11/23 the unit it still taken apart. The dealership repair shop also done damage to the unit as they was taking it apart I have this documented also with pictures (before and After) When I dropped it off and went to check on repairs being done.Initial Complaint

I bought my camper in feb of 2023 I used it one time and found a lot of warranty fixes that needed done. I called in April to get it fixed they told me they would call me when they had a opening so I waited and I called multiple times and got the same answer finally I got to drop it off in June 2023 and it is now august 2023 I’ve waited and called and they same the thing over and over about parts being order ect and I’ve called almost every week they told me to pick it and use it but it leaks water my walls are coming completely apart inside, my sink has cracks, my a/c half works, my slide outs has seals coming apart causing water to get in why would I use if none of that stuff has been fixed completely uncalled for im sitting here wasting money and they won’t even buy the thing back they said we can trade it in but there will be a money difference like what the he** I bought it brand new off the show room floor and only used it once and it been sitting ever sit there I will never in my life purchase another camper from them there so unprofessional on the phone, then can’t even work with on the thing I’m getting a general attorney and making them do something about this because this is completely uncalled for bought in 02/23 and used it once and has sat since 6/23 untill 08/23 and the repairs or parts still have none came in they said it will take all winter to get it done they also busted my jack of my camper and replaced it but I was NEVER informed about any of it absolutely disrespectful on how they operate here absolutely disgusting you’ll be hearing my general attorney soonInitial Complaint

Jayco N 2022 used 5 times. Nothing but problems its been at the shop more than we could camp in it.
The first time we took it out the water pump broke. We were given a replacement and had to change it ourself.
Unacceptable. Next the jack leaked so we made appointment to have it repaired and it went in November 8th 2022 and we just got it back yesterday. Since they did not honor our appointment date the camper sat there we advised them to winterize it if they were not honoring it. They assured they did. We picked the camper up in December and well low and behold it had not been winterized and all the pipes were broken including a sink and the Fridge. They finally gave it back to us yesterday and it is FILTHY!!!! Mind you this is a $100.000 camper only used 5 times. The shop rags were in there the floors were filthy and my husband had to finish putting the trim on the bottom of the fridge where they had a rag stuffed. Then open a cabinet and well well well a mouse had gotten in there while it was in their possession and chewed the shelf in a cabinet along with dropping all over the place. I am very unhappy with this dealer it was amazing until they got our money then the customer service went to hell. Never return calls, never honor appointments. Just horrible.
Had they honored our original appointment the pipes would not have broken because it is parked in a heated pole barn and there would never have been a mouse in there.
Now I have to clean and remove everything in the camper to disinfect and clean their mess they left.
Very very unhappy . Also sent a letter to Jayco they need to rethink this dealer they are giving Jayco products a bad name. We wont buy anything else from ColerainCustomer Answer

They will need to replace the wood in the cabinet I do not know the price of that and the cleaning I am going to have to do is most likely going to take a few hours if not more due to the droppings in the camper . I would expect to be paid what they make for cleaning a camper . My dishes and everything in the camper has to be removed and disinfected. The floors and need swept and mopped . Again this would not have happened had they honored or appointment we had . It seems to be a major issue at this dealer.Initial Complaint

I purchased a travel trailer from Colerain RV in ************ at the very end of August 2022. I agreed to pay for a used camper inspection (2018 model) to make sure that everything was ok with the camper. I understand it is used and there could be things wrong that they may not cover, but wanted to know what condition it was in. I received the camper the begging of September and have found multiple problems with the camper since then. I never received anything stating what they had checked over in the inspection. I reached out to the finance person a few times to get in contact with the general manager. I waited for a good month and never heard back. I finally gave a bad Google review and heard from the general manager shortly after that. He (Brandon M****) seemed to be concerned that I had issues and stated he was going to do something for me because of the issues. I kept having to call him back when he said he would get back with me...finally the communication has seemed to have stopped. I want them to make this right on what I paid for the inspection that I do not believe has ever been done. This is my 3rd camper and I know when things aren't right and it's easy to tell that things were not checked out as they should have been. I am also still waiting on the title work that Brandon M**** said he was going to check on also. This has been by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. My wife and I purchased a **** ******* ******** ********* **** *ravel Trailer on July 7, 2022 for $41,900. Colerain Family RV was to provide us a **** ******** Travel Trailer that had all the standard amenities of a 2022 model. During the walk through on Saturday July 23rd, we noticed two items that were not standard. The trailer was a 30 Amp Trailer and not 50 Amp. Also, the refrigerator was a propane/110V instead of 12V DC with Compressor. We asked the dealership to help us in resolving these issues and they stated that the GM would review and let us know. The following Tuesday, we were told they would not work with us on our issues. We asked to speak to the GM but he was not available. We have reached out to him several times since then without a response.
Although we initially looked through the trailer before signing a purchase agreement, we missed these two items. During the purchase process we were never given the opportunity to look over the MSRP sheet to see if anything was out of standard.
We would be willing to compromise and accept the fact that it is a 30 Amp trailer, however, the refrigerator needs to be replaced with a 12V DC equivalent.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 05/24/21 - purchased new trailer from Colerain Family RV Picked up 06/02/21 after going through unsatisfactory "demonstration". Forced to drive it out of the business without instruction on towing etc. Became so dissatisfied with everything overall the next day that I called Colerain several times, speaking to the GM, the sales manager, the original salesman, and the head of service, all to no avail. The only offer of assistance they have made was to trade or sell back to them at a loss of nearly $16,000 which is entirely unacceptable. Little to no consideration was given to my disabled son's condition to the utility of this purchase. He started questioning the ability to use the trailer on 06/03/21 while trying to set it up. Then he answered the question when falling on the entrance stairs to the trailer causing severe rib bruising. By refusing to acknowledge his disability they effectively discriminated against the disabled in this purchase.Business Response

I received a phone call from the GM yesterday saying he had a BBB complaint and asking if there was anything wrong with the trailer. There is nothing wrong with the trailer; there is something wrong with the owner (physically unable to use the trailer). No one recognizes that simple fact, no one questioned that simple fact from the get-go, so now the only acceptable response would be for the dealer to offer to buy back the trailer for a reasonable sum. Not the near 50% loss they were offering for a 'trade-in'. It's wonderful they offer to fix mechanical issues, how about worrying about the potential for much larger issues in this instance..
