      Needs to be a zero, when I put my complaint in. Customer support was no better than than out of the country call center. Stay away from altafiber.

      I can’t rate zero. They are unprofessional, unethical and infuriating. I started with trying to get a better rate for my Internet services. I was paying $137 per month for Internet only, 50 MBPS. A joke! I called, they finally got me to 65 per month with fiber installation. For two weeks I have been trying to get fiber in my unit, two technicians have been out, everyone has failed. In the meantime, they turned off my copper service. They had no right to do that, I have paid for the month. I am still without any services, and they are refusing to turn back my old services. They literally have told me they can, but they won’t. so I have paid for the month for my crappy old Internet, they turned it off before my new services were installed, I have zero Internet, and they have the ability to give it to me, and have flat out said they will not. Unethical. Distasteful. disgraceful. If you have the choice, avoid at all costs!

      As a 50 year customer for Residential and **************** including Internet and TV I have never been so disappointed and frustrated. When a legacy Cincinnati business is untruthful when a problem occurs and refuses to find a solution to thousands of local clients....it's a shame. Beware doing business with Altafiber

      Moving to the *****************/Cincinnati short term. I briefly ****** searched Altafiber. The apartment complex I chose utilizes altafiber. However, I went a different route. I have continued to be hounded by Altafiber and how they can get my business. I have continued to tell them to remove me from the calling list. No one seems to follow through with that. It's almost on the verge of harassment. It's a joke of a company if that's how they do business.

      If I could give zero stars I would . It started when we tried to switch the service into my name and instead of initially saying that a lease switchover would be the only way to have continuity of service at the address. They had me set up my own account and led me to believe that would occur the same date. The service was being shut off by the other account holder at this address. I cannot stress how many hours I spent trying to finagle this situation so that I wouldn't lose service and I thought I finally had it all set up. Just to find out they shut the service off at my location the day before I was supposed to be turned on in my name. Then they made me aware that it had to be shut off for 24 hours in order for that to occur. Yet nobody made me aware of that in the many hours I spent on the phone with them previously. Here I am 2 weeks into having my service and all of a sudden my internet goes out. I called to ask what is going on because the internet outage map on their website that I accessed through my ******* Wi-Fi indicated no outages for my address. The only answer I was given was there was an emergency maintenance upgrade to the software that made absolutely no sense to me so I informed them it's * stuff like this* that will have me switching to another Internet provider by the end of the month .

      Constantly receiving only about 90MB download speed when promised over a gig. They explained it started out over a gig but once it makes it to my house its slower and its the fastest it will get. Not sure how this isn't false advertisement.

      Ive had an awful experience with altafiber and unfortunately, I cannot recommend them to anyone. From the start, they made promises they didnt keep, and it feels like theyre running a scam buyers beware.First, I was quoted a specific price over the phone, with free installation and a 2-year price lock. Before installation even happened, my service statement said 1 year locked. I had to call and get that corrected. Then, despite being told there would be no activation fee, my first bill included activation charges.Second, during installation, I specifically discussed with the tech how the wiring would be hidden. He repeatedly promised me the wires would not be visible and that they would run the line in front of the house cleanly. After he left, I checked and found the wire sloppily stapled to my house siding with a big, ugly loop completely the opposite of what we agreed on.I immediately called and spoke to a supervisor, who confirmed they would send someone out the next day to fix it and reassured me there would be no charge because it was their mistake. However, when the tech showed up, he told me there would be a service charge. Then, the next day, I got a $99 bill. When I tried to dispute it along with the activation fee they refused to help, saying no one had promised me anything. Total dishonesty  very disappointed in how they treat their customers. They lie, they bait and switch, and they dont take accountability. Ill be canceling my service and switching to ********, who at least value their customers. Save yourself the frustration and stay away from altafiber.

      The internet has been relatively good, but customer service is terrible. To me it shows how they hate their customers. I've been waiting for 40 minutes to cancel my internet since I need to leave. Now I need to wait until Monday and cross my fingers since I'll be into a new month. But this is what happens with a non-Christian company.

      Cincinnati Bell Altafiber has a history of creeping up their monthly bills and breaks their written promises.
