      This is in reference to Sherwin Williams exterior solid deck and fence stain. The stain I purchased was the Super Deck SW3017 Pepperidge. When I got it home I waited for a sunny dry day to apply it to a small section of my wooden fench to see how this color would look. The fench was already stained with a grey color from years ago. I wanted to stain it again to give it a fresh look. I applied the SW3017 Pepperidge (taupe) stain and it dried to a very light tan, and, not the Taupe color that I picked from their Super Deck brochure. I returned my 2 gallons to the store to complain that the color didn't resemble the slightest bit to the Pepperidge Taupe paint swath from that brochure. I couldn't use this stain as it didn't match or go with any of the house exterior paint schemes. The manager Jamie Hairston told me that their stains are not guaranteed to resemble the color you pick when it's applied to wood. I stated that Sherwin Williams should have in ther brochures that exterior stains may not resemble the color you picked when applied. Otherwise, I wouldn't of paid $52.00 a gallon for this particular deck and fench stain. I wanted to return my 2 gallons that I can't use for exchange to another product or refund. I have purchased a lot of paint in the past years from Sherwin Williams without any issues. This is the first time I decided to try their external deck and fench stain. The color of the stain I purchased doesn't come close to the color on the brochure that I selected when it was applied to a section of fence. The only help I was offered is to have them try to darken the stain, which, again didn't come close to the original color from their brochure.

      I have been going to the Sherwin-Williams paint store in Crockett, TX for over 15 years and have always received great service. If I needed to return the paint because the color was not expected, I had no problems. Most of the time I would purchase the quarts to check the color on the wall and then call back into the store so my paint would be ready when I arrived. Never, ever, have I received bad service from any employee at this Sherwin-Williams.

      I went to the Sherri Williams store on Grove Street in ********** *** It was a great experience. Ricardo assisted me and he was so friendly and helpful. In my experience lately good customer service can be hard to come by. It was a pleasure to shop at the Braintree store and have such great customer service.
