back in november i signed a contract for $3800 for a partial roofing job (just above dormer) with a 10% V.A. discount ($380). upon completion of the roof i discovered cable wires and 2 pieces of siding down or off due the roofers throwing shingles of my 3story building. 1st choice lied and said they didnt do it when i saw for myself 2 peiees of siding in the dumpster and they refused to pay for it. then after job was completed the roofing company says i owe them another $250 for 60' of decking wood when the contract clearly says i would be getting 60' of metal installed (i already paid for the metal of $600) that i did not receive (the metal). Now 1st choice is saying they are not honoring the V.A. discount and i owe them an additional $630 when i clearly honored my end of the contract and do not owe them anything. the additional $250 for wood was never something i agreed to. Just last week they said i owe them $250 for wood now i owe them 630 that im not willing to pay

This untruthful company is still untruthful. First I didn't inquire about a V.A. discount until way after I got a quote so how was the V.A discount included in the original contract. Second the wires and siding that was knocked off and other damage by them wasn't fixed. Third, the $250 that I didn't approve of, should've been discussed with me as I was at home. And lastly this same $250 for 60inche of wood was the same 60in of metal that was on the contract for over $500 WAS NEVER INSTALLED

    - Original agreement signed 11/9/2023
    - Gutter proposal fix signed 5/2/2024

    - The amount of money you paid - $15,027.97 (+ $500 gutter fix proposal, unpaid)

    - What the business committed to provide you: Roof and new gutters

    - Nature of dispute: 1st Choice agreed the roof over a backroom edition was in good condition and did not need to be replaced. There were no issues with it. I noticed in March that 1st Choice installed new gutters w/guards incorrectly. Water started running behind the gutters and caused significant damage to soffit. They came out multiple times, but were unable to stop all of the leaking. They insisted the damage was already there, but I have pictures showing worsening problem to soffit, due to the poor installation of the gutter. My roof had no issues, the poor installation of the gutter is now causing damage.

They proposed a custom drip edge they would run behind the facia that would stop the leaking. I agreed and signed a second proposal on May 2, 2024 for an additional $500. The custom drip edge was installed on June 6, 2024. First heavy rain, water still runs behind the facia.

At this point I feel they should take down that gutter run, and install another new one (without gutter guards) since this one isn't working and they don't know how to fix it.

    - Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem: They have come to the house multiple times, but are still unable to provide a fix.
