We have had over 10 Alside windows fail, all warranty-serviced via Associated Materials. Alside itself has had a window failure rate of over 20% with warping or cracking requiring warranty replacement of 10+ windows in our home in 8 years. Unfortunately, Associated Materials is as incompetent. ***** systems appear deliberately rigged to hang up on customers seeking information about their warranty status. After 5-6 phone calls you can sometimes get someone on the line who is vague and indeterminate about the status of the claim and when the contractor might get to the window. This has happened on over a dozen call dates over the last year. Furthermore, we have had the contractor out 3 times over the last year for one single window, and each time the new window shows up cracked, defective or in some way un-installable. This is then blamed on Associated Materials/Alside. Whatever the relationship between these two companies, both the product and the service is low-bid scam artistry. I would avoid at all costs when building a home or purchasing windows.

Associated Materials installed windows and sliding glass doors to our house several years ago, including warranty. One of my windows (large double slider) that has warped, the 2 ends of the window have bowed down by a 1/2 inch on each side, making it difficult to open and can no longer remove the window sashes to clean. I opened a claim 10/2023 and I have yet to have resolution. They first sent new sashes - and I told them that was not the problem and I would not be able to remove and replace due to the warping. I have sent pictures several times with proof of warping. I have now called 12 times since the claim was open and I am told every time I call that someone will get back to me by end of day or first thing tomorrow. Obviously that has not happened. I have received NO communication from them either way. I know are wanting me to 'just go away' - but I am going to keep calling. After reading all the reviews - I am so surprised they are still in business. I do want the BBB to get involved and hold this company responsible for their warranties and lack of communication. I have worked with 2 different people and getting the same behavior from both. No one has reached out to me after 6 months of calling every other week. One of them placed the blame on the manufacturing department, however, still no resolution. I would like the BBB to help, especially after seeing all the frustrated and angry customers. I agree with all the others - DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Associated Materials installed windows and sliding glass doors to our house several years ago, including warranty. Oct. 2023, one of our windows broke and we called Assoc. Materials to replace it. They said regardless of whether the window was under warranty or not, I still had to go through their claims process. I filed the claim, completed the forms, all documentation, and sent several pictures of the broken window with its’ serial number. They told me my claim was incomplete, and they needed more information. The information they requested was the same as what I had sent before, but I resent anyway. They responded again by e-mail stating they needed additional information. I called and spoke with a representative that was clueless. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they said one would get back to me, but I never heard from anyone. I continued to receive e-mails stating they needed additional information. I called again, and they told me the serial # I provided did not match the window. How can that be? I took a picture of the serial # from the broken window. I said if the serial number did not match the window, then a quality issue occurred in the manufacturing process. I asked repeatedly to speak with a supervisor and they said one would call, but never did. This endless series of useless e-mails and phone calls continued from Nov. 2023 thru Jan. 2024. My attorney reach out to them, and I finally heard from Tim, the service tech, on 1/16/24. He left a vm message stating he wanted to come out to measure the window and to reach him by phone or text. After playing telephone/text tag for several weeks, we agreed on Tim coming Feb. 2, 2024. Tim confirmed the date & time, but he was a no show and didn’t even call or text to let me know he was not coming. After 3 months of these unprofessional & puerile behaviors, I was done with them. I was able to find a window company who came out immediately to measure, and within two weeks had a new window installed.

I started a claim with them in early July of '23. At the end of January in '24 I got an email that the claim was approved an would be taken care of in 6-8 weeks (weather dependent)The problem was that I had repeatedly asked to fast track the claim due to a pending sale. There's no way in h*** that I would ever do business with this brand again.

I bought my house in 2008 with siding made by associated materials company. Not very long time, I found some pieces of siding having problems with fading colors. I claimed to replace all of my siding but they refused to replaced but only replaced some pieces with fading colors. However the fading problems still continue to appear and I have been making claims and calls again and again but they still have not replaced any of them. I have such pattern siding for over 15 years and they still could not solve the problem.

Stay away from this place!!! We were patient with them not getting our door and windows installed when we were promised and it did not matter to them!!! Our patio door is less than 2.5 years old and the outside window shattered for absolutely NO REASON (unless you count poor manufacturing)! They do not honor replacement with their lousy warranty!! Do notI repeat, do not buy your doors or windows from them!! You will thank me later!

Have Dabella windows installed 10 windows in my house had broken windows on pond. Installing them took them months to get that figured out the windows that don’t even hold up to what they said they would. They don’t stay warm have another broken window been broken since the beginning of August called Dabella windows called All side And I keep getting the runaround saying that they got to get the parts ordered. They never ordered parts and my window is still broken. Would never use them again would recommend that no one uses the Bello windows or All side their service customer service everything about the windows are bad . Writing reviews on the Better Business Bureau hoping other people see this and will never use either of those companies had nothing but trouble since the beginning of this whole thing.

Been trying to get a warranty window replaced that the frame is cracked. This started back in February 2023, by the way they had to be reinstalled a second time. There has been trouble with the way this company marks there windows with a paper sticker that last about a month. The warranty people had me take a photo of another window that was still legible, to find the order for all the windows that were replaced and find the 1ft x 2ft window to be replaced. The window that needed to be replaced was about 1 ft. x 2 ft., the photo sticker was a 4ft x 5ft. window. So they never did the search in the order for the correct window size to be replaced. So they sent a window that was 4ft x 5ft the wrong window! I am still waiting for the correct window to be replaced 11/13/23 is today. I have almost 50 correspondences between emails and phone calls to there warranty services.

We had Alside windows installed. We used a company who sold them to us.(Dabella) in Washington State. We had major issues with Dabella, which they finally took care of. One of rhe window Alside installed was a double hung window. That window is c***. Even the Alside rep who came to look at it after the install, told us “we have had many complaints about these windows”. How confident would you feel when they say they can’t do anything about it? I’m confident that we got taken advantage of.

Same as others. Faulty products sold with a warranty, but they will not honor. Sad.
