  On 1/2024 I went to International Diamond Jewelers 6743 Miller Lane Dayton Ohio to have a diamond ring appraised. I walked into IDJ and ask the assistant can I get an appraisal on the ring. She told me that she would take the ring and check the prongs on it then give it to the appraiser. The assistant took the ring behind a wall for about 10 minutes. When she came back she said I had two diamonds missing. I was told the best thing for me to do is to let them send it out for repair then have them appraised it for the true value. I told her no just give me the appraisal. The assistant said that she don’t know if the appraiser will do it but she would ask. I did get the appraisal. What’s noticeable is that they do the prong check behind the wall and the appraisal in front of the wall where you can see them. Where’s the transparency.
  After getting the ring appraised I spoke with Kari S***** assistant manager who gave me the impression that she don’t care.
  I spoke with Mr G**** general manager. Mr G**** response is chilling. He begins with I must not know what I’m doing buying rings with missing diamonds. Then he said I’m probably buying my rings from shady people. Then he said I was not happy with the appraisal amount. I told him the only thing that concerns me is the damage done to my ring. Mr G**** told me that he watch a video and said that my ring was not touch. I asked him if I could see the video and he said no. I wonder if International Diamond Jewelers make more money on repairs then actual product sales. Interesting.

  Tatiana was a wonderful Salesperson to work with. She was patient, and so helpful, she made suggestions that I hadn’t even considered that were perfect!!!
  She went out of her way to make sure that everything was taken care of and was even able to find earring screwbacks for a couple pair that I brought with me.
  I am thrilled with my purchases, and had a very nice overall experience.
