      My 72 year old mom ordered carpet cleaning to help after getting a new puppy. There were numerous spots on the carpet where the dog had had an accident. When she ordered the Stanley Steemer service, they had agreed upon spot treatments preceding the cleaning, and de-odorizer and protectant following the cleaning. The team was there for less than 15 min. They did none of the extra services that she paid for. They even told her that the de-odorizer and protectant were all in the same solution as the cleaning liquid (which I later learned from the Stanley Steemer Rep is false). When I called the company to take care of it, they would offer no refund, even partial. They only offered to come out and inspect it or redo it--to which we were not interested. While the cleaning itself was terrible, the business model for taking care of customer complaints was even worse. At the end, they offered me a partial gift card which given that I would never use them again, felt like a slap in the face.

      My original complaint was the service. My floors were not cleaned in certain areas and I asked to speak to a manager. My floor was cleaned October 10th and as of yet I have not heard from the manager. I have been told several times that he would call and that someone would come back out and inspect my floors. Neither has happened. I think it is very unprofessional of this company to not get back with an unsatisfied customer. To top it off I was quoted ****** and ended up paying *******. So unprofessional and rude.

      We had talked to the *********** ******* office to schedule a carpet cleaning for our home. They quoted $324.00. I was gone when they came but my 78 year old wife was here. They did the carpet and the kitchen chairs as asked and on the quote. They told her she needed the protection and deodorizing. She did not ask the amount, our fault but who would take advantage of a 78 year old. When they got done they billed her an additional $931.00. She did not no better than to pay this outrageous bill. Does this company really need to go around scamming elderly people? I did not realize they had done the same thing Nov. 11 2019. My wife never said anything about it I thought their quote was good then as I thought it was now. When I called the local manager to complain and told him I would put a hold on the check, he told me he was a police officer and he would have me locked up before nightfall. This was heard by a associate who was in the car at the time and the phone was in the hands free mode over the speakers. Is this stanley steemer?

      I purchased a doormat with a lifetime guarantee several years ago. When I called to have it replaced, which I was told could be done at any time, they refused. The owner is very unprofessional.

      I will never use Stanley Steemer again. Supposedly cleaned my air ducts. However, had to have them come back to clean cold duct returns that they didnt do. I then was vacuuming out the air ducts and found a slurpee cup lid in one one them. Obviously that duct didnt get cleaned either. Called for someone to return my call and have yet to hear from anyone.

      Will never have them again. Duct cleaning, we'll not clean at all. Called & called, came back to check it out. Did nothing. Got another appointment for recleaning. Seemed better, but they didn't **** the blown dirt out of furnace filter area. Turned on heat today, some dirt blew out. If they had sucked out the dirt from filter area it would have been better. Removed new, clean filter and it was disgusting filthy. We're sick of cleaning up after them. Very disgusted & frustrated as we made many calls with no return calls. Don't ever hire them for duct cleaning.

      Waste of time and money. Arrived with wrong equipment, left for an hour and returned with equipment they said they had never used before and they didnt know how to use it. Manager was supposed to call but never did. Dont call Stanley Steamer for duct cleaning. Technician told me I had electrical problem. Electrician visit and $150 later it turned out the technicians didnt know how to plug in their own equipment.

      There online scheduling is a total bait and switch. I scheduled a bathroom tile cleaning which I assumed would be both the shower stall and floor. Instead the tech informed me it was only the floor and another $250 for the stall!!! The online scheduling also had a special for two room carpet cleaning. Again after the cleaning when I asked why I didnt get the advertised price I was told it was because I had two area rugs not wall to wall. So I paid more for less carpet!! Never using them again

      My insurance company called them for what I thought was a sewer line back up, it was not I found out it was a U joint from my washing machine, which is right next to the clean-out in my basement. This is what stained my carpet. It did not need water extraction. Stanley Steemer started calling me before I could get off the phone with my insurance company. They wanted to set up a time to come out, I told them I do not have standing water, I do not need water extraction, I need the stain on the carpet in the hallway cleaned, and they called me 4 to 6 times in a 4 day time period, each time I told them I only need my hallway cleaned, they ignored me every time. The last time was the night before they came out to my home.After a couple of days, I withdrew the claim from my insurance company because it was only a stain on the carpet. The only reason I stayed with SS is because my insurance called them and I trusted my insurance company, I wish I would have canceled them and called someone else because they charged me $150.00 for water extraction that my carpet did not need and $26.00 to clean my hallway. THIS WAS A TOTAL RIP-OFF! I told them 4 to 6 times I do not need any water extraction, only to be ignored. The kid that came outsat in the truck 40 minutes before he and his trainee rang the doorbell. I asked him why they sat in the truck long and he said I was changing the order, but he obviously did not. I will not do business with Stanley Steemer again.
