I have a 3-yr old Epcon home, Newly built with all new appliances, etc. including what was to be a new furnace. But because Epcon neglected to turn off the furnace when they were installing the drywall, paint, etc., my "new" furnace pulled in all of the dust and debris from the building process, thus compromising its function and cleanliness. As you can see from the pictures attached, the filth was remarkable. The technician said it was the worst he had ever seen. Although the furnace is outside of the warranty, I believe it is reasonable for me to have waited until the furnace technician reported that the furnace was fluctuating on his meter and he recommended the cleaning, It would not be normal nor reasonable for a new homeowner to get the furnace cleaned within the one-year warranty period. One would logically assume the furnace was new and clean as it should have been as the cleaning entails dismantling the entire furnace. I have requested the cost of the cleaning from Epcon, but they declined to reimburse me. I believe it was their responsibility to provide me with a new, clean furnace. I am Requesting $285 for cleaning furnace.

After reviewing this request, it has been determined that it was made on a home that had exceeded the warranty period.  Epcon will be working directly with the customer to gain resolution.

Epcon said they would reimburse me in 7 to 10 days but I have not received a check or reimbursement as of today.  I will update you as soon as I get the money.  Hopefully soon.

    thanks for following up.

I filed a complaint on the anniversary of my closing date regarding my warranty issues 1) a crack in the concrete slab on my front porch. 2) A heating problem caused my heat to go out four times during the winter months, so the HVAC company requested I notify Epcon. 3) a bush that may need replacement.

To date, I have not been contacted, nor to the best of my knowledge, has anyone been out to investigate my complaint. I have made four attempts to resubmit to **************************************. Which is no longer recognized as an email address.

    We are sorry you
have had difficulty reaching our warranty department however we have no record
of your email. The Charlotte Warranty email address is active and
functioning. The phone number for Customer Service/Warranty is listed on the
same page of the warranty manual as the email address and is also listed on the
warranty sticker inside the kitchen cabinet. Homeowners who are having trouble
contacting us by email typically reach us by phone or stop by the office to ask
for assistance. In the past we have found that the owner mistyped the email
address or they were having computer issues.

In light of the circumstances and in the spirit of providing
excellent customer service, we will be glad to look into the three items
mentioned in the complaint and do our best to assist even through the Epcon
warranty has expired. Please contact Epcon warranty at ###-###-####, weekdays
from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm to report these items.

I signed a contract with Epcon communities at Carr Farms, Ohio for a condo home in Sep 2021. The contract stated that the house would be completed between May and July 2022. Epcon kept delaying the process and moving the completion date.

In the process I have lost money by renewing my current apartment lease on a short term basis. I am also at risk of losing my 12 month rate lock with my bank.

On numerous occasions and communications they had assured me that the house would be completed by Dec 2022. On Dec 1 their latest communication states that they cannot give me a timeline for completion and it could take another 60-90 days.

    As with any new community
site, development delays can occur unexpectedly. We understand the concerns of
this home buyer and our Sales Manager has contacted him to work on a resolution.
