    Over the last several years I've had 4 experiences with Germain Honda of Dublin. Three of these experiences were positive. A 4th, more recently, was horrible. Hence the 1-star rating. As we had an upcoming trip to ********* planned over the Easter holiday in which we would put well over ***** miles on our 2020 Honda CR-V I decided to take advantage of Germain's advertised offer of a "Free Multi-Point Inspection." I did not expect for Germain Honda of Dublin to turn around and try and take advantage of ***** first point of contact (on 4/9/2025) was with a very nice young man who politely greeted me at the door of my car and took down pertinent information. My next interaction, with Service Consultant *** *******, was not nearly as friendly. She pulled up my Germain service records and, seeing only a recent oil change, was not overly pleased. Nevertheless she told me the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour and I headed to the waiting area where they have platitudes posted on the walls. Something to the effect about how dedicated they are to the customer.When the "inspection" was completed Ms. ******* approached me with a somber face and a 10-page printout. It seems Germain Honda of Dublin's Multi-Point Inspection found a $1,244.73 repair (see attached photo) that needed attention right away - plus, a couple of other items that brought the total to $1,565.70. As you can imagine, that was a bit of a gut-punch. So I took the car to my local mechanic who I absolutely trust and paid him $80 for the same inspection and he told me everything was FINE! We thankfully made our trip to ********* and back without a hint of any car trouble.

    Germain honda of Dublin is refusing to start a claim on a car bought 2 months ago and have an EXTENDED bumper to bumper warranty on. Now they are trying to get me into a new car and are refusing to let me go to another germain since their lot is slim pickings and not of equal or greater value. I feel cheated and scammed. I just want my money back and to call it a day.

    Over charged my daughter and took advantage of her to a point of almost being criminal. This place is distrusting and disgusting from the salesman to the sales manager to the finance manager.

    Called to schedule a rim and tire replacement. While on the phone they confirmed they had it in stock and that it was covered in my premier collection plan since i was traveling 6hrs round trip to get it fixed. After dropping off my car they called to inform me they had no idea it was a warranty appointment and they didnt have the right rim or tire. I wasted a 6hr drive for an oops we are sorry.

    I question the integrity of this service department. After three different service appointments I have left with future repairs quoted in the thousands. On second opinion, nothing is wrong or something that is much less. Last straw was when they replaced my coolant (per service schedule) and the AC stopped working that day. They charged for diagnostic and then said $1200 to replace the AC compressor and a half days labor. They broke something because they didn’t follow the right steps after filling the coolant. Management doesn’t help, they are very condescending and speak to people disrespectfully. Attempted multiple times to call and talk with them but you can’t get responses and when you do it’s from someone not empowered to do anything. They are rude even when you’re polite and they take politeness and ignorance.

    We are sorry to learn you feel this way regarding our service department and appreciate you bringing your concern to our attention. During your visit, our team replaced the engine coolant in your vehicle due to time and mileage. This is a separate system from the A/C system. After your visit, you had a need due to a warm spell to turn your A/C system on and found that the system was not functioning properly to cool the cabin in the vehicle. It was determined that you had a bad A/C condenser which allowed the refrigerant to leak out. The engine coolant and the A/C refrigerant are two different items cooling two different systems in the vehicle.

    After verifying that online sales price with the sales person first thing in the morning and making a deal where I gave them my credit card for $500 good faith money, they pulled my credit report. They notified me that the deal was good and that I could pick up my car that evening. It would be certified, detailed, and a full tank of gas. Halfway through the day, I was notified by their sales manager that the online price was wrong and that they would not honor the deal. Even though we already had an agreement and they pulled my credit score! Many hours of going back-and-forth with the sales Director, they still would not honor that price, but they would “give me a good deal and a great interest rate.” The interest rate was based on my great credit had nothing to do with them!
    I was told I would have some time to process the new deal, but an hour and a half later the sales guy was calling to find out what I decided because there were other sales guys “chomping at the bit” to get the keys.
    Absolutely NO integrity whatsoever.

    bought a car from them in Feb 2022 and they deleted codes off of the car and tried to lie to me about it. when i went back with proof, they fixed my car for free. 2 years later, i was having issues with a check engine light and they told me that they would take care of me. had a camshaft sensor and a few spark plugs replaced that costed me $1,800 and the same codes were back on within a few hours after promising me that it was fixed and ran great. they have taken so much money from me and have left me with a car that i can’t fix or replace. any dealership i feel would be better than Germain Honda of Dublin.

    Worst customer service ever with the poorest communication. I bought a used car 3 months ago and have still yet to receive my title to get plates. It has been one excuse after another...but only after I continuously reach out to them! I didn't realize what I needed to get my tags at first (I've always leased cars). I went to the BMV when it was time for my first set to expire. When I was told I needed the title, I called the finance manager I had been working with. He told me he could try to get me one but I could just buy one myself or if I got a ticket they would reimburse me....really?!?! After sending me a wrong tag for the wrong car and in the wrong person's name, I did get a second one with only a few days where I couldn't use my car. Fast forward to a about a week out from my second tag expiring and I've heard crickets from them. I reach out to the finance manager again through emails, several days in a row, with no response. I then decide to get ahold of the GM (which has no phone number listed) with an email. I wrote him all about the troubles I was having, and I got a two-sentence response saying sorry, he will dig into it. Haven't heard from him since!! I did hear from the finance guy after that, telling me he was out on vacation. Okay, so no one does anything with your accounts while you are out, or you don't have an email system that can give an automated response?? After this I still had to keep bugging them about getting my title. I got responses like "it will be here tomorrow", then "sorry it will be here by the end of the week", or "it's now looking like the following week". I don't understand the hold up and no one will explain anything to me. Again, I only hear a lame excuse when I REACH OUT TO THEM. They NEVER proactively reach out to me. I did get my THIRD temp tag and was told a few days later I would have my title. That was over a week ago and yesterday I got the "it'll be midweek now" response. I would never buy a car from here, ever!!!

    I would ride a bicycle full time if buying and servicing a car from this dealer was my only transportation option.
    I had a wheel vibration since new.
    The first time, I brought it in and had them rebalance the wheels. Turns out the rear tires were way out of balance. From the factory! The service guy said it was common and that Honda mounted tires cold, and that was the issue. What **.
    I brought it back. Upon entry into the service lane, the alignment machine spotted that one wheel was significantly out of alignment. One of the service lane techs said one of the tires was cupping from the alignment issue. They aligned the car and balanced all four. Turns out on visit #1, they added weights to the wheels without removing the original weights. What? No wonder I had a vibration.
    The third and final time, I brought it back. The alignment machine spotted the same wheel was out of alignment. After an hour and a half, the lead tech and I went for a drive. It seemed fine but I was still skeptical. The tech admitted that the machine, while a revenue maker, was not accurate and he didn’t trust it. He said he didn't see any cupping of any of the tires. He said they rebalanced all four however, only two of the dirty wheels had any disturbed dirt. They didn’t look at all four. What?
    This product has lost the reputation of quality that it once had and this service department has lost their grasp on both truth and customer service.
    The next weekend, after four months of owning this Honda, I bought a new Subaru.
    This dealership experience was bad enough to make me never buy another car or motorcycle from this brand. The BRAND. Let that sink in.
    The best, highest quality person (or object) at that location is a kind, customer centric lady named, *****. *****, if you’re reading this, you’re on the wrong bus. There’s a better place out there for you.
