1 star**** gave a $10,000 quote for a $570 fix Apex suggested buying a new heat pump instead of fixing as it is hard to get parts and is about the same price.Another company fixed - labor and parts same day for $570. They also noticed a wire had been disconnected making another expensive piece test bad on purpose.Review fromJamie K

1 starQuoted $10,000 for a $570 Fix I recently had an alarming experience with Apex that I found very concerning. During the 90+ degree temperatures of summer, they came to my home and provided a quote of $10,000 to repair my heat pump. They mentioned how hard it was to get parts these days and were unsure when they could get it fixed. They then offered to send someone to discuss options for buying a new unit, which resulted in a quote slightly less than the repair cost, with the promise that it could be replaced the next day. However, I decided to get a second opinion and had another company come out. They were able to fix my heat pump quickly for just $570. The technician informed me that a wire had been deliberately disconnected, making it appear as though Apex was making an additional part test bad.Additionally, Thumbtack advertised a free service call from Apex, but after the quote was provided, I was charged $75 for troubleshooting. This charge was unexpected and I now feel like I was being charged for the opportunity to be deceived.Review fromMakenzie B

1 starTruly awful experience, was hoping for the best since they had nice reviews. Apex came to check out a clogged basement drain, decided to completely overcharge me and use me (mom home alone carrying a sweet newborn baby). The next day my basement began to flood because Apex never checked the sewer manhole. Thankfully another company came to our rescue at 10 p.m and realized how to fix the issues for WAY cheaper AND stop the flooding. The other company name dropped exactly who oversold me and was correct, apparently he is notorious for being a salesman. Even though I cancelled the contract within the three days, Im now being forced to pay for a ****** potty that the Apex guy threw in since we were already going to be spending enough money. What an absolute scam. PLEASE be aware that they are outrageously overcharging and taking advantage of people while also cutting corners and not solving the issue.Review fromMatthew B

** went out at our home and we called Apex. They told us it would be $1,500 to fix the issue but they suggested I replace the unit which came with a price tag of 20k. We had them fix the leaks and 2 months later the unit stopped working again. So we called Apex again. This time they said our best option was to replace the unit for 20k. We decided to get a second opinion. The other company came out fixed the same issue for $350 and said they would replace the whole unit if they had to for $5,500. At the end of the day Apex is seriously taking advantage of people who find themselves in a hot situation.Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Air LLC

I am writing to voice my deep frustration regarding water damage caused to my home during a profoundly negligent service visit by your technician, ***** ********, on Thursday, April 10, 2025.***** was dispatched to inspect a leak on the second floor. The water had already been turned off beforehand to prevent further issues. Shockingly, during the inspection, he reactivated the water and then proceeded to cut into the *** tubingwithout verifying that the water supply had been properly shut off. This reckless and unacceptable oversight unleashed a pressurized stream of water that rapidly soaked the ceiling below.Rather than taking immediate responsibility for the mess he created, your technician made the baffling decision to ask my wifewho is not an A*** employee, not a trained technician, and certainly not responsible for your companys failingsto locate and shut off the valve in the basement. Unsurprisingly, she was unable to do so. Only after this misguided detour did the technician finally step in himself, but by then, the damage had been done. This entire situation is a glaring example of unprofessionalism, lack of basic protocol, and an alarming disregard for safety. Let me be crystal clear: while I understand that minor drywall disruption may be part of a standard plumbing repair, this was not a mistakeit was gross incompetence.Adding insult to injury, A*** initially acknowledged responsibility and clearly stated that the company would cover the cost of repairs. However, days later, A*** reversed course, claimingwithout a shred of evidencethat the water damage had been present for over months. This claim is not only entirely unfounded, it is physically impossible based on the condition of the home, the timing of the leak, and the fact that the area in question was monitored and dry prior to the technicians visit.Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Air LLC

Thank you for reaching out and for taking the time to express your concerns. First and foremost, I want to extend our sincere apologies for the distressing experience you and your wife encountered during our recent service visit. We understand how upsetting and frustrating this situation has been, and we deeply regret that our visit contributed to the circumstances youve described.
We take all feedback seriouslyespecially when it involves concerns about safety, professionalism, and property damage. As part of our commitment to addressing this thoroughly, we dispatched a project manager to your home shortly after the incident to assess the situation in person. Additionally, we brought in an independent restoration company to evaluate the water damage in question. Based on their assessment, the findings indicated that the damage appears to be consistent with a pre-existing or ongoing issue, rather than a sudden, isolated event that occurred during our visit.
That said, we recognize the seriousness of your concerns and understand your frustration with the communication around our initial response. We want to reassure you that our team followed standard procedures throughout the inspection and worked to ensure we had a clear and accurate understanding of the issue before making any determinations. We also acknowledge and regret any breakdown in communication that may have contributed to your feeling that our response was inconsistent or dismissive.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to work through this matter. Our goal is always to deliver reliable service with professionalism and integrity, and we are actively reviewing this case internally to ensure our standards are upheld.Review fromBarbara C

This company is seriously lacking in communication skills. We were scheduled for service on April 21. We thought it was weird that we never got an email or phone confirmation so my husband called on 4/18 and we were told we were now scheduled for April 22nd. . Sure enough, they didnt show up. When we called the office, they said they would call us back with an explanation. At 5 pm we got a call from the electrician and we rescheduled for that Friday. He explained they had some emergencies due to the weather. We said no problem but reminded him that we had a deadline due to some cabinets that were being installed on the 28th. The electrician came out and did the work that had to be done so we could get our cabinets installed. The rest of the job was rescheduled for May 6th 10 am. Again a no show. No call. My husband called the electrician directly who told us he would be here within an hour. 3 hours passed at which point we called the finance company to cancel and called **** to cancel. The service person **** ended up hanging up on my husband when he said he was not interested in rescheduling. We did get a text several hours later from someone at **** asking how they could make this rightour first and only communication from **** since we signed up for the service on April 15th. We have wasted 2 whole days waiting for these no shows and have moved lots of heavy furniturefor nothing. Apex, what is the point of paying thousands in billboard ads to get new customers when you treat existing customers this way?Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Air LLC

1 star2 hours late after the text saying they would arrive within *****. Then tried to charge $234 for a free estimate to fix my problem. - Which he fixed by relighting the pilot on my hot water tank in 2 seconds and then turned it back off when we started prices for new tanks. Other companies charge $100 for this service and dont promote it as freeReview fromJeff S

1 starI wished that I had read these reviews prior to scheduling an appointment to have my boiler looked at. The service tech was very nice and did a nice job of looking at the situation. He thought it was fixed when he attached a loose wire to the thermostat. The next day it was still not heating. As the day went on the boiler stopped running. I called and he came back out bringing along three other people, with one being a "senior" boiler repair technician. They stayed at my house until 7pm and came up with a diagnosis that the circuit board was bad, mind you this boiler is less than 5 years old. I asked about a warranty and was told it didn't have one. The tech presented me with a quote for about $1800 to replace it. I asked if they were sure. He then called his manager who proceeded to scream at him on the phone. I could clearly hear what he was saying. The manager, *****, said that I should buy a warranty from **** during the time that he was screaming at the tech, who had done nothing to deserve being screamed at in front of a customer. After they left I called another company to look at the boiler the next day. The other company called the boiler manufacturer and was told it was not the circuit board but instead a small part that cost a fraction of the price that **** wanted. The boiler company said that if they would have replaced the circuit board it still would not have worked. To add insult to injury Apex also tried to charge me for another service call. It is a completely unprofessional operation and I would never recommend them to anyone. I am still waiting on a call back from their customer care person.Review fromEmily D

1 starVery poor experience. I believe the company was purposely trying to be deceitful throughout my experience with them. I was a paramount customer, **** took over paramount and I needed warranty work completed. My AC only a few years old stopped working. **** came and did the work and charged me $380. I repeatedly told them I had a 10 year parts and labor warranty. They told me I only had a parts warranty. After the service tech left, I inquired with customer service, not understanding the cost. They gave me the run around, ultimately telling me I was paying for labor and a mandatory Apex Guarantee. They told me they verified all my info and I did not have a labor warranty. I finally discovered I could research my warranty info myself and confirmed with the manufacturer I did indeed have a parts and labor warranty. After confronting Apex with this information, they issued a full refund- zero explanation. I didnt receive my refund and inquired on it and was given an invoice showing my money was refunded. I told them it was not received and asked for more details. Finally they said there was an error on their end trying to refund the money and they would send a refund check. Which did happen. It turned out okay- but only due to my diligence. Absolutely would not recommend!Review fromLarry M

Apex pros was to come to my home and disconnect my gas stove, they never showed up, when I called them they said the service pro waited 15 minutes which was not true, not only that but my suv was in the drive way and they did not knock on the door or use the door bell. Plus they never called to see if I or someone was home I had argue with them to make a 2nd appointment. This is my 2nd bad run in with apex pros and will never use them again and I will tell everyone to not use them why.Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Air LLC
