Just sent a cease and desist letter to this company. It astonishes me that a company of this nature is still in business.

We have done business with them for a couple years now and our small company recently grew and became corporate. With our new business model in place we sent them over an ROI request asking some basic questions to measure our returns on 12/7/2023 . They ignored our email request all together and then sent an invoice on 12/19/23 even though we made it clear we needed to have our questions answered before moving forward.

We sent a second email stating that we would not be moving forward with them until they could answer our questions on 12/22/23. This went ignored for over 2 weeks. They then called us on 1/2/24 and basically stated they are billing us, and I quote "we have an email here saying you were moving forward so it's not our problem and we are not providing any further information per your ROI request" and then hung up the phone.

    **** was the rep.

    Response to BBB Complaint

    RE:   ***********

Mass Marketing Inc (MMI) has been in business for 47 years and has an AAA rating with the BBB.

Western Nevada Title Company (WNTC) has been a past customer of ours from 2014 to 2021.  They did not participate in 2022.

On December 6, 2023, MMI received an email to our Art Department from ***** ****** at WNTC requesting contact information for our sales rep.  That information was returned to ***** ****** via e-mail on December 6, 2023.

On December7, 2023, MMI recevied an email from ***** ****** stating they will continue their service with MMI and also requested a list of additional information from MMI.

    1)  Wanted a distribution list for for business in Fallon.      Our response is:  This is our customer base and we do not furnish this to our customers; as we feel WNTC would not furnish us with theirs.

    2)  Also requested a list of businesses in other areas.      Our response is:   This is our customer base and we do not furnish to our customers ; as we feel WNTC would not furnish us with theirs.

    3)  Wanted information to measure actual distribution percentage and how it was calculated and verified.      Our response is :  we are unable to furnish.

    4)  Wanted information about radio promotions.    Our Response is:  Our sales rep did not handle this appropriately and advise customer.

MMI received an email from WNTC on December 22, 2023.   Our offices were closed and did not reopen until January 2, 2024.    The e-mail from WNTC stated they were not interested in moving forward.   At that time MMI cancelled the ad for WNTC and removed all information regarding WNTC from our records.

WNTC will have NO information about their company used by MMI.   They will receive NO further billing from MMI , have a zero balance and owe us nothing.   Going forward WNTC will not receive any further contact from MMI and will be placed on our do not call list.

We have already spoken and handled this issue our sales rep **** ******

MMI apologizes for the misunderstanding, conduct of our representative, and mix up.

    Regards,

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

    1. Company is refusing to furnish either a zero balance statement or a letter showing our account being closed for record.

    2. Company must furnish the above mentioned for us to consider this complaint closed.

    3. If company does not furnish us with the above mentioned within 14 days as outlined in the  Federal Consumer Protection Statutes, and the Federal Trades Commission Act we will move forward with our complaint and request it to be finalized and filed.

    Regards,

    Business Response

    Date: 01/04/2024

Mass Marketing Inc.  will be glad to send a letter out stating there is a zero balance, and the account is closed.   In the previous response, answered before,  nothing was mentioned that a letter would suffice.

A letter will be sent out tomorrow, via Fed Ex with a signature required, stating that there is a zero balance and the company is no longer in our customer base.

And as soon as the letter is received, we hope that this matter will then be resolved and again, our sincere apologies for the misunderstanding.
